Prologue
Grief feels different for everyone. For Dame Elysse, it was heavy, like carrying a burden too big for her heart. She stood alone, staring at the sky she once admired as a proud lady of a great estate. Now, everything she had was gone-her family, her home, her happiness.
The night before, her dreams were warm and full of love. She saw her children running through the halls and felt her husband's comforting hand. But when she woke up, the cold reality hit her again. She had no one. The people she once called friends laughed at her, mocking her fall from grace.
Some people cry when they're sad, their tears never stopping. Others try to fight their pain, turning it into strength. Elysse didn't cry anymore. She felt numb, lost, and small in a world that had turned its back on her.
"Is there grace for someone like me?" she whispered, her voice weak and shaky. She prayed to the Creator, hoping for a miracle. But when the morning came, nothing had changed. The pain was still there, and Elysse made a choice. She didn't want to hurt anymore.
But life wasn't done with her yet.
When she opened her eyes, it wasn't darkness she saw. It was light. She was back in her home, her Casa, the grand mansion that should have been destroyed. Everything looked as it had years ago, before the war. Alysse touched her dress, her hands trembling.
She was alive again-back in the past, before everything went wrong. This time, she wouldn't let it happen the same way. Her pain had changed her. She wasn't the same weak woman anymore. She would fight back.
For those who once celebrated her fall, Elysse had only one message: "I am not powerless anymore."
