Love is as fleeting and cyclical as the sun: gentle at dawn, persistent and fervent at its peak, it eventually reaches its zenith and sunset at the end of the day - time when everything it's colour and lights fades away.

Love is a polymorphic feeling: when the moon takes its turn to embrace and wrap us within its light, this exact and same fading love somehow reemerge in the heat of the night before our umpteenth rebirth into a new day. And despite this poetical and yet paradoxical perspective, nights give to both soul mates and lone souls the chance to reattach their selves as much as their mind to one meaningful purpose in their life - it can be a loved one or just a thing or simply oneself.

Love is reciprocity. Sir Denzel Washington once quoted that loving someone deeply gave us strength while being loved gave us courage.
A one-sided love is a loved doomed to failure. Life is a redox reaction: both equations are needed to keep the mental equilibrium. Love is loyalty not only towards people but primarily towards oneself.

Now all of that being said, love holds many untold things but if one word were to summarize it, it would be “respect”. This is the highest form of love similar to a blooming flower. Respecting others as one selves, through words or actions, respecting people and self-choices.

Jamie wasn’t unaware of these, yet marrying the man she had cherished for over four years considering her so unstable and progressive disease was just unthinkable. Though it is often said that love is sacrifice, at this point of her life Jamie had instead chose to sacrifice her love.
