(Tim's POV)
The next morning I woke up and went and sat on the sofa when Tamara came out her room she looked around and saw me she immediately turned around and went to walk out "Tamara wait"I said "I won't do anything I promise okay" I told her "Tim can I ask you a question?"she asked me "sure go ahead" I told her "why do you hate me?"she asked "I just didn't like the idea of having a stranger in my house but your a good kid I see that now"I told her "I tell you what to make up for it I'm going to get you a treat come on" I told her I took her hand and we walked to the car I drove to the ice cream shop and we got two scoops of ice cream each we ate then I took Tamara back.
When we entered the house Lucy quickly ran over to us and hugged Tamara "oh thank god where did you go?"Lucy asked us "Timmy took me for ice cream it's super yummy"Tamara said happily as she miles at Lucy and then hugged me "wow Tim didn't know you were such a softie" Lucy said laughing "well I guess she's not as bad as I thought" I told Lucy and she seemed surprised "does that mean I get to stay here?"she asked "of course kiddo"i said scruffing up her hair "I promise I'll behave for you guys"she told us "I know you will sweetheart now what do you want for lunch?"lucy asked her "that's not behaving I can't eat that's naughty"she said "sweetheart it's not naughty its normal okay you won't get in trouble for eating"lucy told her "your lying it is naughty that's what mummy and daddy said"she told us "kiddo you need to eat"i told her "sweetheart you need food to survive"Lucy told her "are you sure I can eat?" She asked "you're not tricking me are you?"she asked "no of course we're not sweetheart I'll go make you something now okay" Lucy told Tamara she cooked pasta and took it out to Tamara and set it in-front of her on the table.
Tamara looked at the pasta funny "is it drugged?"she asked confused "no it's not I promise tam"Lucy told her "your lying I'm not eating it"Tamara yelled pushing the bowl away
"Tam it's good I promise I'll show you if you want"Lucy told her "no I'm not eating it you can't make me I know what you're doing daddy did the same thing I'm not eating it it's drugged"she yelled "Tamara I promise it's not drugged"Lucy told her "kiddo she's right it's not drugged okay"I told her "stop lying I know it is drugged" she yelled at us "Tamara it's not okay did your dad drug you in your food?"Lucy asked her "yes daddy put the white powdery stuff in my food and it made me really tired and powerless and daddy said it was good for when his friends r-ra-hurt me down there"Tamara told us "sweetheart I promise we'll never do that okay you can eat I promise"Lucy said "kiddo what if I take a bite first to show you it's not drugged?"I asked her she nodded I took a bite and showed her I was fine she quickly ate it all after seeing it wasn't drugged "mmm that's so tasty" she said licking her lips "I'm glad tam there's more if you want it "okay can I have more but not drugged"she told Lucy "of course sweetheart you don't need to tell me that okay"Lucy told her and a tear rolled down her cheek "I'm sorry did I make you mad please I'm really sorry no punishment no men please I'll behave I promise I won't ask for anything please"Tamara says panic rising in her voice as she spoke faster "hey hey sweetheart calm down your okay we're not going to give you a punishment okay you didn't make me mad and you didn't do anything wrong I promise"Lucy told her "c-can you carry me again?"she asked sadly "of course tam"Lucy replied as she picked Tamara up and Tamara rested her head on Lucy's shoulder I saw her slowly drift off then she was asleep "she's asleep baby"I told Lucy as I kissed her "alright let me go put her in bed"Lucy told me she tucked Tamara in then came out to me "so why was you being nice to tam then"Lucy asked me as she got in bed next to me and cuddled into me "I thought about what you says last night and I guess she really isn't as bad as I thought" I told her "okay baby I'll take your word for it"Lucy told me
(Tamara's POV)
I woke up in bed alone I had a really scary nightmare about my parents I went into Tim and Lucy's room and they were both asleep I got in between them and snuggled into Lucy then fell asleep the next morning when I woke up Tim was sleeping and Lucy was awake she was stroking my back gently it felt really comforting so I pretended to be asleep again but Lucy must of saw my eyes open "tam are you awake?" She asked I giggled "yesss"i said whilst giggling again
"Why are you pretending to be asleep silly" Lucy said "because it was comforting you stroking my hair and back"i told her "I can keep doing it if you want sweetheart you don't need to be asleep for me to do it"she told me "yes please it's comforting"I told Lucy she stroked my back again and I moved closer to her "you know you make me feel really safe"I told Lucy as I moved my head to her chest "I'm glad sweetheart" she told me "anyways how comes you came in here last night?" Lucy asked me "I had a really bad nightmare" I told her "what of?"she asked
"my parents" I told her "oh tam"she said stroking my back again more gently "Lucy do you think I am needy?"I asked her "no I think you think your needy but your not at all tam i promise"she told me "thanks that helps"I told Lucy I sat up a little and looked at Lucy's phone Tim woke up and Lucy left to bang breakfast I moved over to Tim and lay against him "tim are your parents nice?"I asked him "not really kiddo my mum left when I was a baby and my dad used to hit me a lot when he was drunk which was pretty much everyday"he told me "I'm sorry"I said giving him a hug "it's alright kiddo"he told me "now should we go see Lucy?"he asked and I nodded I ran out the bedroom and hugged Lucy tightly but she was holding the pan and her hand went on the hob "fuck!"she yelled dropping the pan and clutching her hand I backed away from her and sat on the floor in a ball crying "I'm really sorry i didn't mean to please don't be mad"I told her I went over to the oven and pressed down my hand really hard on the hob Lucy quickly pulled me back "tam don't do that"Lucy told me calmly "why now we're equal I hurt you and made you burn your hand and now my hand is burned"I told her "sweetheart my hands not that burnt it was only on there for a second but your gonna need to get that hand checked out it's super burnt"Lucy told me she drove us to the hospital and I got my hand looked at the nurse bandaged my hand and said I'd have to be careful with it until it properly healed Lucy drove back to hers and I went in the guest room and got in the bed quickly falling asleep.
