I rest my head against the plane seat and watch as the plane lands in the one and only city, New York. I couldn't believe that this was actually happening, after years of dreaming of being in such a wonderful and glorious city, where dreams can be explored and where many self-discoveries can be found, this was too good to be true.
The plane finally lands after a few minutes and the flight attendant announces our arrival, the first few passengers get up from their seats and take their bags from the overhead bin. I follow along and take my own bag and lead my way out of the plane, i say my goodbyes to the kind flight attendants and step out the plane where i eagerly walk over to the airport, adrenaline running through me.
I get inside the airport and walk over to the baggage carousel, however as soon as i get there, i see that my bag has not been delivered yet, so i wait next to a woman who seemed a bit...edgy. I saw her tap her foot impatiently, and her face showed annoyance. There was another person standing next to her who watched the woman with confusion. I heard the impatient woman mumble: "God, why do they have to take so long? I have somewhere to be!" She said her voice filled with annoyance. After a few minutes of waiting, i saw my bag coming from the carousel and as soon as it stopped at where i was standing, i took it and then walked away.
When i got outside the airport, i got a taxi and asked the driver to take me to where my destination is, NYU, one of New York's college campuses that i was going to be staying in,one of New York's popular colleges actually. The driver nodded and i got inside the taxi and sat in the backseat, the driver drove away from the airport and i was so excited and eager to explore New York's city life.
