Nishtha

She stood in front of me. The one woman who takes all my strength away from me.
I didn't notice I clenched his hand, tight.

"W...why are we here?" I whispered to him while looking at the sleeping body of Bua.
Well, I hope she's ONLY sleeping.
He looked at me, held my shoulder and then held my hand again, "Come with me."
"N...No." I said.

He grabbed my hand tightly and looked at the security sitting there and nodded. He walked to Bua and woke her up. I saw Bua wake up slowly and sit by the bedside, but my eyes froze seeing her leg tied to the side of the bed.

"W...what have you done?" I asked him.
"Come here." He held my hand and guided me in front of the woman who I never wanted to see.

She looked at us, her eyes not with the same shine as she had before. I knew Bua got exposed but I don't know what happened. I don't know what all she tried, I know Vamika told me but I don't know. I looked at her, but I didn't talk to her, I'm too scared to talk to her.

"Good afternoon Bua." Yuvaan said. She looked at him, her eyes reflected fear, Yuvaan added, "I'm waiting for an answer."
"H...Hi Yu...vaan." She said.
"How is your solitude treating you?"
She didn't answer.

What is happening?

"I brought someone to you, someone who you deserve to apologize to... for the horrendous crimes you've done." He said and I looked at him, "Nishtha... come here."
I walked to him slowly, standing behind him.
"So, Bua," Yuvaan said, "Anything you have to say?"
"I have nothing to say to her." Bua said.
"Are you sure?" Yuvaan's tone darkened, "Are you sure you don't want to say anything to her?"
"Yuvaan, if you think you're right, then guess what, you're just a child."
"Oh really?" Yuvaan roared.
"Yes."

What mud is she made off?
How does her ego still not break?

"Nishtha," he held my hand, "Come with me."
We walked away from her, but as we reached by the door, he stopped again and turned around, I turned as well.
He looked at her dead in the eye, and then looked at the security, "Reduce one more meal, keep the chains on always and wait till I text."
Then, he grabbed my hand and we went out.

What on earth just happened?!
I had so many questions. I'm so confused.

He was driving - very rashly. His hand was grasped tightly on the wheel.
What was he thinking?
Why would he take me to Bua?
What's wrong with him?!

"Y...Yuvaan?" I asked, afraid of his anger.
He didn't reply, instead just drove home, and I sat there silently. What was he thinking?

When we got home, he stormed away inside his room and I sat there, confused. Why isn't Bua in jail? Why is he holding her in some weird old apartment? What is going on? I'm so lost. I needed answers and the one person who can tell me is portably busy punching a bag right now.

I got ready in a white anarkali. My hair was left braided and I was about to head outside when I heard Yuvaan talk to me.
"You're not ready." He said.
I turned around, "What?"

He walked over to me and took a pinch of sindoor and put it on my hair partition. Then, he took my mangalsutra and put in on my neck. I stayed quiet, letting him do it.
Why did I let him do it?
I don't know.

We were heading to the Business Awards, which was an award function for all businessmen and women who work in the business field - from small to big. Yuvaan was nominated to win an award, and so we were going there.

I sat in the car with Yuvaan, because Maa Dad and Vamika wanted to come separately.
I don't know why.
Yuvaan drove, half his mind on his phone where he was talking to people, half the time.
What's going on with him?

When we arrived, I sat at the front of the award ceremony as Yuvaan sat near me. He looked at me and I looked at him in utter confusion, he just smiled and looked away. What's going on?

"Good evening!" The anchor said, "we're here today to honor all businessmen and woman who have put their time and energy into growing their field, tirelessly everyday, to make things happen for their customers."

The nominations went on and soon, they called out the name for the most successful businessmen this year, which was obviously Yuvaan Nanda.
Cheers erupted everywhere and Yuvaan smiled, and looked at me, and came close. I looked at him. I knew we were on camera and so I didn't argue with him.
I was proud of his achievements.
He looked at me, his eyes softening, as he wrapped his arm around my waist as he came closer, his lips pecking my cheeks. I gave him a small smile and he went to the stage.

He got his award and then came back down and sat beside me. I looked at the award. I was still really proud of him, irrespective of everything.
He brought the award closer to me and then looked at me, "Like it?"
I nodded.
"You know," he said, holding my hand, "I always dreamt of getting this award, with you by my side... and now, I'm living it." He smiled.
I looked down, unsure of what to do.

Once we got home, Maa and Papa took the award and kept it under the shelf and I went to make chai for them. After a while, I brought the chai out and sat down when Yuvaan walked in the hall and opened the door.

"Who is it, Yuvi?" Maa asked.
"Our most favorite person." Yuvaan chuckled.

He moved to the side.
We watched Bua walk in.

What is wrong with him?
