Sully The Mer King

Intro

On a large island, known as Myurris, there are many who tell tales of a vast variety of sea creatures. Including the distinctly recognizable Mer people, who have been the enemy of humans for centuries.

Creatures who resemble humans with tails rather than legs, whose appearance is as extravagant as nature itself. Many have lost their lives and their ships to the creatures, but not without retaliation.

These days, there are many who pay to have the beings killed, to make profit on them. There are also many who kill them on sight simply because they are dangerous. Whether it be for money or out of heart, humans kill Mers, and vise versa.

A never ending war.

It is a fact that will likely never change. There are few who even wish for peace, because the majority would rather be rid of the creatures. Again, either for safety, or profit.

There was once a period, though, when the two species were at peace, and the seas were no longer tainted with so much blood, but that time was fleeting. However, its tale is of importance.

In a time, similar to now, the endless war between Humans and Mers was ever so lively.

One eighteen year old human boy, in particular, looked down on the people continuing their endless violence. He didn't think highly of it, and believed peace would be possible if the two species would learn to simply leave each other alone.

Nevertheless, he never said a word of it, because he was also aware that his lone opinion was powerless against the way things were, and the way people chose to be.

There was nothing he could do to end the conflict, so he simply lived with it.

However that very same boy unknowingly came to accomplish what even he thought impossible.
