MAISIE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF READING when her phone started to ring on her untidy desk. she set her book down before opening her phone. surprisingly, it was a call from chris. she knew he was at mia's house party, and she also knew he was drunk based on his spam post.
with a sigh, she answered, putting the phone on speaker. "hi, christopher."
"hey, is this maisie wilson?" an unfamiliar voice spoke from the other line, causing maisie's brows to furrow. she had no idea who this was and who was calling her from chris' phone. "uhm, yes? who is this?"
