What's The Deal With This World ?

Basically, The classic Vampire Honkai Impact AU. With some of my originality and messy head mixed in, of course. Oh, and Elysia is here.

Notes:

A little bit of explanation as to why I've decided to start a third fic so soon. You see, when I started my first one, I wavered a lot about who to pick for the female lead cause let's be honest, there a lot of lovely girls in hi3. In the end, I opted for Fiana because too little stories about her are written, for some reason I don't know. But now my brain did a complete one-eighty and requests (read : threatens) that I begin writing about Elysia NOW. And I've read a few Honkai Vampire fics, so yeah. This one might be a bit different : I won't bother much about building up whole arcs before going to St Freya : I'm putting almost the whole cast there in one go, so be ready.
Here it is, readers, hope you enjoy the ride. (I really hope the Elysia virus will get out of my head now.)

Chapter 1: What's The Deal With This World ?

It all began one fine morning. Or 50 000 years ago, depending on how you look at it. Or even longer, actually. And this is a battlefield, so maybe this is not such a fine morning after all.

But who gives a fuck anyway ? Let's get on with it.

So, students of St Freya were busy blowing up some vampire beast ass inside of a ruined town, under the watchful eyes of the teachers perched atop of various decayed buildings. You know, your usual endterm exam. One particular red haired teacher was fondly looking at her pups tearing through their ennemies.

"Mei, on your left ." A perfectly calm voice, completely at odds with the warzone, warned one of her teammates of a nearby ghoul ready to pounce. Said ghoul was cleanly run through, its pitiful suffering ended swiftly by a purple blade. The one who hit was clearly Japanese, and blessed with looks that didn't really fir with the place.

"Thanks, Bronya !" The soft yet tense voice of the girl escaped from her lips as she moved to the next enemy. A few meters apart from her stood a silver haired teenager that didn't lose in matter of looks. Her sky blue eyes quickly detected that two literally bloodthirsty beasts were closing on her with not so kind intentions. 

In less than a second, she devised a way to victory. Quickly switching the ammo in her left hand gun, she took aim at a shop in front of her, guessed the timing and shot. The bullet exploded against the facade of the small building, raining debris on the two beasts. The timing had been remarkable, despite coming from only a gut feeling : it spoke of the girl's battle prowess. Pinned under the rumble, the two sitting ducks were quickly dealt with. 

"And that's done !"

"Not yet, Kiana Idiotka, we need him to report first." The Russian girl lost no time rebuking Kiana, checking the findings her beloved companion robot.

"Loosen up Bratnya, there are no ennemies in sight. The radars aren't ready picking up anything either, so it's fine."

"You two, we're still in the middle of an exam." chided a fondly exasperated Mei.

"Let them, Mei. It's how they show their love for each other."

The entire squad lifted their heads, witnessing a figure landing just behind Mei. But no one panicked, for this was their last teammate.
