S6E8. Snakes on a Plane

Earlier Hawk asked Chozen if they could go out and explore the town for the night and Chozen said yes. Layla was relived, she needed to get out

of that hotel but she didn't go with the others. She had just decided what she wanted to do and was making her way out of the hotel when she saw the

boy who she's been having eye contact with and he saw her too because he was also looking at her. "Hey.." Layla said as she walked closer. "Hello.."

"I'm Layla.. uh, by the way." Axel looked away, "Axel.. but I.. I am not supposed to speak with opponent." Layla's eyebrows furrowed "We're

not on the mat.." Axel looked back at her. "Uhm.. I was going down to the beach to get some training in.. seems like you're doing the same," Layla pointed

to his shirt, cause why else would he be wearing
a sleeveless shirt. "Would you wanna go together?" Axel nodded yes and Layla smiled.

Layla and Axel did different Kata's side by side. Layla watched him as she was doing hers and then stopped, "That's a pretty cool kata.. can

you teach me?" "Uhh.." Axel looked around nervously, "Uh, you don't have to I mean I can like learn on my own-" "I- I'm sorry—" "You don't have to

apologize, probably shouldn't share your secrets with opponents anyways." Layla chuckled nervously. "I should get back to the hotel it's

getting late." Layla said. "Mind if I join?" Layla smiled, "Not at all." Axel bent down to pick up his shirt and Layla was bruises on his back. "Woah, what

happened.. to your back?" "Uh, from bo staff competition." Axel said as he put his shirt on.
Layla nodded, "And I fell down the stairs," Axel

furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm sorry, sorry, it's just.. I know what it's like, you don't have to talk about
it but just wanted to let you know I can relate."

"My Sensei wants me to be the best. It's because of him I never lose." "There are other ways of teaching. I mean, I gotta admit, your dojo's pretty

great." "Thank you. You're pretty.. your- your dojo's pretty good too." Axel stuttered. Layla laughed. "We try our best." She shrugged. Little

did Layla know, Jack was standing from afar, listening and watching the whole interaction.

Layla and Axel unintentionally took a little detour. "So, how are you liking Barcelona?" Layla asked. "Good. Reminds me of Koh Samui." "Wha-

you've been to Thailand?"
Axel nodded, "And Japan, China,

Malaysia, India, every country in Europe." He finished as he looked at Layla. Layla looked at him and laughed, "Wow.. that's amazing." "You?"

"Oh. I haven't really been outside of California.. but there's so much world to see and you know, Barcelonas not a bad place to start." Layla smiled.

"What, do you hope to see while here?" Layla shrugged "I mean, everything. Las Ramblas, uhh, Cascada Monumental. Uh, I don't know, Park

Güuell." Layla smiled. "And end with fight for world tournament of karate?" Axel finally cracked a smile. Layla laughed "Exactly."

"How cute." Layla looked up to see Kwon and a boy Layla recognized as the boy who held up Tory's hand in the platform challenge. "Little rival

team play time, huh?" Kwon chuckled. "Just ignore them." Layla told Axel. She went to walk through but Kwon blocked her, "Say the magic

words." Layla rolled her eyes, "Move aside." Kwon's mouth fell open sarcastically, "Wrong." Layla took a deep breath, "Just leave us alone."

Kwon bent down to her height, "Only if you
say "Please." Axel's hand formed into a fist because of how close Kwon was to Layla. Layla

laughed and got in his face. "Please." She asked sarcastically with a smirk. Suddenly the boy with Kwon hit Axel's chest. "Hit me, hit me, come on."

Kwon taunted as Axel and the boy continued fighting. Layla felt a presence behind her, she quickly turned around to see another Cobra Kai

boy and round kicked him. She
turned back and held up her hands

standing beside Axel. "Come on, I'll take you both. Let's go." Axel and Kwon got in each other's faces. Suddenly sirens were heard, Layla's eyes

widened, the korean boy got up and tried getting Kwon to leave. "Let's go, come on!" Layla tried but Axel wouldn't budge so she grabbed his hand and they ran back

to the beach. Layla panted as they came to a stop, Axel looked down at their hands with a blush and Layla followed, quickly taking their hands apart,

"Sorry, sorry. That was Cobra Kai, my rival back home, well not them but—" She realized she was rambling. "You

get the point." She finished. "Nice round kick." Axel said as they looked at each other. Layla chuckled "Nice counterstrike." Layla looked

behind her and sighed. "I think the coast is clear." Layla wasn't looking and suddenly She saw Axel leaning in. "Woah,"

She stopped him. Axel opened his eyes, "W- I-
I'm sorry. I thought—" "No, it's okay. You thought right, it's just that the last relationship I was in

didn't work out well.. that's one way to put it
but i'd like to get to know you more, is that okay?" "Yes, I'm still sorry. I should have asked first."

Layla giggled on the inside, 'He's just the total package ain't he.' "It's okay." Layla smiled. "We

should actually get back to
the hotel, it's super late now."

Axel walked Layla to her hotel room door. "This
is me." Layla smiled. Axel looked at her like he didn't know what to say. "Uh.. do you- can I have

your phone number?" Axel asked. Layla smiled, "Yeah sure." Layla put her number in Axel's phone and put Axel's number in her's.

"Goodnight Axel. Good
luck tomorrow." "You too.."
