Chapter 2 - WHY me?

Aditi's pov-

"What"

Dadu smiles at me. No dadu, this is not funny or something to be happy about. I'm sure he is joking.

"Beta, I always wanted you to marry a Shekhawat"

What? Why me? Oh god please tell me their are shooting one of my sister's stupid prank, I hope this is a prank.

I look at the man infront of me. Ayushman. That's this name. And he looks at me as if this all my fault! He glares at me. Oh god. Why are you mad at me Mr. You should have stoped this.
But if you can't I will.

"Dadu, I don't even know him."
Ayushman narrows his eyes at me. What is this man's problem.
"I can't just agree to marry someone I don't know"

Everyone in the room looks at me as if I have grown two heads.

Dadi takes my hand in her and looks at with so much hope. "Mera baccha, you don't have any idea about what is right or wrong for you but we know what's best for you"

Sunita dadi, looks at me lovingly "She is so beautiful, my Ayushman will be so lucky to have a wife like her"

WHAT? WIFE? I think I'm gonna faint.

"Mummy, you knew about this?" I ask my mom.
She shakes her head. "No beta, but papaji will never do anything wrong. I also think this is for the best. You will be so happy with the Shekhawat's."

I can't believe my family is forcing me to agree to an arrange marriage.

"Beta" dadu calls for my attention. "Trust your dadu. I always want what's best for my granddaughter."

Then suddenly Ayushman gets up from his seat. " Dadu, dad, I have to go. It's an emergency." Without waiting for them to reply he walks out.

Rajkumar dadu "oh I think it was a serious emergency so he left."
Sunita dadi says "No problem we can meet again next week to exchange rings and publish the news of our families coming together"

Oh god, they were planning to exchange rings today!! I need to talk to my family.

After some more conversations about my 'not yet fixed ' wedding the Shekhawat's leave.
