Epilogue

"Thank goodness you both are here. How do I look?" Taehyung asked his parents nervously as he straightened his suit and stood before them. Waiting for their response the boy stood there anticipating their reaction but all he got was a small smile from both of them in return.

Mr and Mrs Kim can't believe that their son is going to get married because it feels like yesterday that Mr Kim for the first time held taehyung in his arms who refused to let him go and now here he is ready to move forward to build his own life with his partner.

"You look lovingly beautiful , my love." Mrs Kim complimented taehyung who smiled brightly at them before looking at his father expectantly. He was a nervous wreck right now and it was clearly written on his face with bold letters and he wasn't going to hide it from his parents because at this moment all he needs is them to cardle him in his their arm and assure him that he'll do good in his life ahead.

"Bub , can we have a little chat before we go." Taehyung nodded his head and Mr Kim's words. The old man pulled his son beside himself and sat back on the couch as Mrs Kim took the other side of taehyung who was relieved that he was surrounded by their warmth because he was literally on the very edge of losing his shits right now.

"Taehyung , within a few hours you're no longer going to be a bachelor who is free and can do anything as he wishes and for as long as he desires. You'll be a married man after today. So I want you to understand a few things which literally every newly wed forgets. It was my father who told me this when I was going to marry your mom and now it's my time to tell you this."

Mr Kim spoke as he patted the back of his son's hand which was gripping him desperately for comfort while Mrs Kim continued to rub his back as he listened to his father attentively like a child.

"After today , not only your name's going to be attached with jungkook but Jungkook's as well with yours. So you shall respect that name and never take a decision in your life which might taint that. You shall never allow this bond to make you feel burdened because it's not , this sacred bond of marriage shouldn't stay on your shoulder instead it should reside in your heart because that's where it's place is. This way things are much easier to understand. You shall understand Jungkook in every thick and thin , no matter how tough your life gets , never let go of his hand because once you leave it the grip isn't the same as before."

Taehyung nodded his head as he repeated the words in his head , this might look like it's the first time a father is teaching his son how to behave in marriage , because it happens rarely where there is no pride in men since most of the time they're filled with ego.

But taehyung wasn't an egoistic jerk or a prideful prick because he was ready to learn whatever his father was teaching him which every father should teach to their son.

"You shall respect each and every boundary you both either make or break because if it's made , it's for a reason and if it's broken , then there's a bigger reason so you should respect everything. You shall never ever let Jungkook down intentionally and if it happens to happen unintentionally then you shall know how to apologise. Learn to apologise. Learn to agree , adjust and accept. Be as transparent as you can with each other. So—

"— so if one day your trust is put on a test , you both should be ready to know exactly whom to trust. It's a long way ahead , neither forget yourself nor forget him behind. And make sure you love him more than your father loves me because for me he loves me the most in the world." Mrs Kim continued the remaining words of Mr Kim who smiled at his wife and looked at his son who was looking at them with admiration and respect in his eyes.
