Chapter 1: Whisked away

Briar's POV

Briar's head hung as the bright sun shone through her eyelids, her hair under her head in a scruffy ponytail and her clothes like dirty rags discarded on the street. She sat up, the hard concrete under her blistered fingertips, as she looked around the alley, she now called her home. No one would want to adopt a 14-year-old with no money or parents. Briar brushes her hair with a matted hairbrush. Her long locks going down to her elbows as she walks into the park, as she sits on a seat, I can feel every object around me as my breathing slows and the power of the world envelopes and put on my shoulders (in her head). It feels like everything is in my reach and I can control it how I please. My mind boils as the weight enlarges and next to me a puddle boils up, steaming. A charming boy with a dazzling smile walks nearby, his hair styled perfectly dirty blonde with green eyes. Not too attractive without his kind smile, I noticed as I snap out of the moment, but the boy had already noticed. His eyes widened and approached me.

"Hi, how can you do that?" Not curious of what I did, more on how me as a person did it.

"Um w-wh... bye" I get up and pace walk/run away. As I speed up and walk into the alley, he follows me and grabs my hand making butterflies in my stomach.

"Don't worry, I'm like you." He stares me in the eye, his green eyes are like a field on a sunny day. He lets go and like the flash, runs around the alley in 2 seconds and my jaw drops. "I'm going to take you where you belong." His words sent a spark of sunshine in my head of hunger and darkness. 

"O-ok"

He pulls my arm away to his car and forces me in. "Oh, and by the way I'm Justin." He gets in and sit next to me, "so you might be wondering what, who is this dude. Well, you have powers, which makes you a superhuman. Superhumans are from Alredia, the home of heroes. I will be taking you there, you will learn how to use your powers and go to school with others like you at Magenta High School. "

"Um thanks" It was a lot of information to take in and my pretty much dead brain was struggling. "Well where are we going?"

"Alredia" The car moved on and on into a field as there was a large waterfall, large drops and rivers of water flowed down the large and wide waterfall. As Justin leads me down a path into the bushes, the sun blocked by the heavy forest above us. He leads me down a path and takes me behind the waterfall. "Get ready 3, 2, 1"

"What-" He pulls me into the wall as I pull one hand up that isn't holding his and bracing for contact with the wall. Suddenly I feel pulled out of my body and mixed into a batter as I regain consciousness, I see a futuristic city in front of me with country of beautiful creatures around it, as I look other directions, I see lots of other cities in the distance.

"Welcome to Alredia"
