Aiman's POV:
I stood in front of the mirror fixing my red sweater which I had paired with some black pants. I then took my coat and keys and locked up the house before leaving for the clinic. I had an extremely tiresome day ahead filled with appointments which were going to be running back-to-back.
I climbed into my black Tesla and swiftly drove it to my clinic which was about fifteen minutes away from my home.
As I arrived and entered the clinic I was swarmed by warm greetings and smiles and this was all thanks to the hard work I had put into creating a reliable reputation for myself.
I walked towards the end of the hall on the second floor and entered my cabin outside of which patients were already seated, waiting for my arrival. I smiled at them before going into my cabin but just as I was about to take a step inside, I was stopped by one of our nurses.
"Good morning, Dr Ahmad here are the files with information of the patients that you'll be seeing today." she explained.
"Thank you, Emma." I smiled at her warmly as I took the file in with me.
Soon I was packed with patients who were coming in one after the other until I reached my last patient of the day.
"I see you're much better now Bridgette, it looks like you've been eating the things I advised you right?" I smiled widely looking at the innocent little girls' green eyes whilst she simply nodded in response. She was a frequent patient since she was a baby as she was naturally born with several complications so I happened to see her quite often.
"Dr I think my teddy bear is not feeling well too. I already told him to eat healthy food but he doesn't listen." the little girl pouted in the most adorable way ever.
"If he doesn't listen tell him the monster will come, catch him, and make him sick." I replied in the same enthusiastic tone which caused the little girl to giggle.
"Okay Aiman thank you so much now we'll get going." Bridgette's mom flashed a grin at me.
"Bye Bridge take care." I blew her a little kiss which she caught with her little hand. I loved that girl so much.
I was famished and so I drove to my favorite café, Valdemeres where I usually went to when I craved a sweet snack. I bought a few pastries, and a cappuccino then sat down on one of the tables.
I sipped on my coffee with my right hand whilst I used my left hand to scroll through my emails. I agreed on the fact that my life may not be the easiest however I felt that it kept me distracted and content at the same time.
My happiness lay with those children that visited me at the clinic as well as those that I visited during my frequent trips. I had everything alhamdulillah but somehow, I couldn't help but feel empty.
It's as if some part of my heart was missing and I just couldn't seem to find it anywhere.
I shrugged off my thoughts as I finished the last bite of my chocolate pastry. Then I quickly paid and rushed over to an orphanage which I visited monthly to give the kids a routine checkup.
I closed the car door with a bang on purpose after stepping out and giggled when I saw a whole bunch of kids running towards me with beautiful smiles painted on their faces.
"Look what I brought for my angels!" I shouted with an enthusiastic tone which was loud enough for them to hear.
"Wow chocolate cake! Thank you, Dr Aimi." They all said in unison whilst I just patted their heads and went inside of the building to talk to the foster care facility manager so I could get all the medical records from the previous month. Then immediately, I started my checkups on each child and I thought I was done but apparently one little boy was still outstanding.
