*Hannas POV* (Point of view)

"Hanna, wake up!" my mom yelled from downstairs. I picked up my phone to look at the date. September, already? I said to myself.
Ugh, that means school starts. I hate school. It's useless. I've never been a person who liked school. Everyone needs to understand that they only have one life and that they need to live it to the fullest. That's what I used to say to my friends all the time. God, I miss them. I haven't seen anyone in so long. I wonder how they're doing, if they changed? Or maybe they stayed the same? I guess I'll find out today.
*Beep beep* my phone started ringing. It was Mona. Mona Vanderwaal. My best friend. The person who I've spent my summer with. I really love her. Ever since the group fell apart, she was always there for me.
"Shit!" i yelled. "Look at the time!" I was so late! I need to get ready asap. I grabbed clothes from my closet and started getting ready. Yeah, It took a long time, as usual. But, can you blame me? I love dressing up and looking good. Shopping and all that stuff really calms me and I love it.
I was just going to leave the room when suddenly. *smash* I knocked something off my table. It was a picture. Of Alison. I found myself staring at the picture for 5 minutes, the glass had cracked. I felt strange, I felt like she was here. I could feel her with me.

"Do you miss her?" my mom said.
What? Who? I broke this by accident. I'm sorry mom I have to get to school.

"Wait, stop. Breathe. Why do you suddenly go crazy when I mention her name?"

I looked at her filled with anger. How can I not act crazy? She meant everything to me. She still does. Because she is still out there. I know it.

"I'll talk to you tonight mom, k?"
"Okay. Say hi to the girls for me!" she said.

Yeah right, I doubted I'd see them at all.
So I left. Just as I was about to walk thru the front door, I got a text message.

September 1st, 9:14am from Blocked Number.

You really shouldn't talk to your mom with that tone. One day she's not going to put up with you and just leave. Just like your dad. Just like everyone.

-A.

*Hannas POV*

What? Who is this? I felt scared for a moment. I went back into the house and I asked my mom if she just sent me a text. Her name is Ashley, so -A? She said no and told my to get to school. I gave her a hug and said I was sorry. For everything.

I walked out the door once again. But no. I didn't go to school. I couldn't. I went up in my old treehouse and waited for my mom to go to work. She goes around 10am so I had about 30 minutes to wait. Oh, well.

.......

*Arias POV*

The first day of school! Finally. I couldn't wait. I got up extra early, had breakfast with my family and got out of the house as quickly as possible.

"Wait, Aria! Do you need a ride?" my dad shouted.
"No dad, I'll walk! Love you, bye!"

Yes! I was so excited to be back at Rosewood. Yes, the town is boring but it's all good when you have good and interesting people around you. I couldn't wait to get to school and see my friends. I've been in Iceland for so long! It's good to be home.

I got to school. Didn't change a bit. Oh, well...

"Aria!" Emily shouted.
"Omg! Emily!" i gave her the biggest hug!

"I've missed you so much? Have you seen Spencer and Hanna?"

"Nope. I just got back from Iceland 2 days ago."

"Wow. It must have been nice not dealing with everything in Rosewood. I basically had cops every day with new questions about Alison and that night"
