The sound of the piano echoed softly in the empty practice room, filling the space with a warm melody. You stood in the doorway, hesitant. This wasn't part of the plan—you had come here to pick up a forgotten notebook, not to stumble upon Bang Chan in his element.

He was lost in the music, eyes closed, fingers dancing effortlessly across the keys. You thought about sneaking out before he noticed you, but fate had other plans.

"Hey," his voice broke through your thoughts, startling you. He turned toward you with a gentle smile, his dimples appearing. "Didn't see you there."

"I-I didn't mean to interrupt," you stammered, clutching the notebook to your chest like a lifeline.

"You're not interrupting," he assured, motioning for you to come closer. "Do you like music?"

You nodded, your voice caught somewhere between your heart and throat. Being shy around people was a curse, but being shy around *him* felt like a whole different challenge.

"I've seen you around," he said, his tone soft but curious. "You're always so quiet, but... something tells me you've got a lot to say."

Your cheeks burned. "I... I guess I'm not great with words."

His smile grew, a glimmer of understanding in his eyes. "That's okay. Sometimes, music says the things words can't." He patted the spot on the bench next to him. "Wanna try?"

Sitting beside him, you could feel the warmth radiating from him, his presence somehow both comforting and overwhelming. He began playing again, this time a simple tune, and gestured for you to follow.

You hesitated but placed your hands on the keys. Your fingers trembled, hitting a few wrong notes, but Chan didn't seem to mind. Instead, he chuckled softly. "There you go. See? Not so hard."

The two of you played together, the awkward melody transforming into something sweet, a little like the moment itself.

As the song ended, he turned to you, his gaze lingering. "You don't have to talk much for people to hear you, you know."

Your breath hitched, his words wrapping around you like a hug.

And in that quiet, unspoken moment, you realized something: maybe you didn't need words to say how you felt. Not when a melody could speak for you.
