The First Love of Haruhi Suzumiya (on hold)

Chapter Two

Kyon woke up and immediately felt a chill run down his spine, he tried to reach for his blanket but it wasn't there, it was on the floor. ''I must've kicked it off the bed last night, not surprising since I had the worst sleep ever''

Kyon stood up and walked down stairs where he saw his sister watching tv.

''Hey, why aren't you dressed yet?'',Kyon asked.

''Cuz Mom said we could have a day off'',she said without even turning to look at him.

''Why?''

''Because she said you didn't sleep well last night and since it's raining she said she'd just let you stay home today and since she knew it wasn't fair, she let me stay home too'',she said with a laugh.

'Yeah right, you probably forced Mom to let you stay home',Kyon thought as he walked into the kitchen. He looked at the clock, it was 2:25, he could still make it to the club meeting and since Haruhi would punish him if he wasn't there he decided to go.

That's when Kyon remembered his dream.

'Oh yeah, what the hell was up with my crazy dream last night. Was it even a dream. And who the hell was that girl and why was she saying I'm in love with Haruhi. Wait, am I in love with Haruhi.....Uuugh, what am I thinking of course I'm not in love with her, it was just a dream. But then again wouldn't dreaming about loving some one mean that you subconsciously love them? But I was in a closed space so did Haruhi want me to think I love her, but wouldn't that mean that she loves me....Aaahhhh this is so confusing, I'll just ask Koizumi about it'

When Kyon reached the club room, school had been over for 20 minutes. He knocked on the door and there was no answer but he could here shuffling from inside. He waited for five minutes and knocked again, but there was still no answer so he just opened the door. Huge mistake.

Kyon was met with a half naked Haruhi who was changing out of the brown bunny outfit. The chest of the outfit was pulled down and since she wasn't wearing a bra, Haruhi's breasts were left completely exposed.

Before Kyon could process what was happening, his face connected with a high heel which luckily didn't hit him in the eye but did push him backwards out the door which was then slammed in his face by the surprisingly pissed Haruhi, who normally  wouldn't give a crap about somebody seeing her naked.

A few minutes later the door opened and a fully dressed Haruhi walked out with a slight blush on her face. The two of them stood there, neither of them saying anything or looking at each other. After a minute Haruhi was the first to speak.

''What the hell Kyon?! Why'd you walk in on me when I was changing?!'',she half yelled.

Kyon didn't say anything, he was still shocked from seeing a girl half naked and on top of that it was Haruhi, and on top of THAT he may or may not be in love with her.

''Hey, are you just gonna stand there all day or are you gonna say something?'',Haruhi asked, slightly irritated.

Kyon shook his head as if he was shaking away a thought.''Yeah, um...sorry about....that''

Haruhi just gave him a *hmph* and turned looked away from him.''Well whatever. So why are you here anyway and why weren't you in school today?'',she asked.

''Well I had a strange dream last night and didn't get enough sleep so my mom said it was okay if I stayed at home, but I decided to come to the club since you'd get mad if I didn't''

Haruhi's eyes widened slightly at the last part. She stayed silent for a second and had a sad look on her face which was quickly wiped away as she moved onto a different topic.

''So what was your dream about?'',she asked.

'Crap! I can't tell her, she'll think I'm weird and even if she does like me, I don't know how I feel about her, uh..I'll just make something up',Kyon thought.

''Well there was this girl and I was in love with her and....'',Kyon trailed off and Haruhi surprisingly didn't say anything, she instead walked back into the club room and put her coat on.

''I'm going home'',she said as she walked in front of Kyon.

'Why'd I tell her about the actual dream, and why'd I stop talking. Did I not want to talk to Haruhi about somebody I loved....whatever, I'll think about it after I talk with Koizumi'

Kyon looked at Haruhi and noticed she didn't have an umbrella.

''Hey'',he said,''where's your umbrella?''

Haruhi stopped in her tracks like she just remembered something.''I-I didn't bring one to school.......W-what's it to you?!''

''Well it's pouring out and I'd feel bad if you caught a cold so I'll walk you home''

'Wait, what did I just say?!', he mentally screamed.

Haruhi turned to face him and Kyon noticed a slight blush on her cheeks.

''Fine'',she said reluctantly.

The two of them walked in complete silence and Kyon wanted to keep it that way to avoid any awkward conversation about him seeing her half naked but unfortunately  for him Haruhi hated anything quiet.

''Hey Kyon, d-do you...um...l-like a-a....anyone?'',Haruhi asked as she unconsciously moved closer to Kyon.

Kyon was slightly shocked at this, Haruhi never really seemed to care about his personal life.

''Well....I dunno, maybe.....I never really thought about it'',Kyon responded, looking at nothing in particular.

''....I see....''

With that the sentence ended and they slipped into an uncomfortable silence until they reached Haruhi's house.

''Well, see ya later'',Haruhi said as she quickly walked to her door.

''What, your not even gonna thank me?'',Kyon said with slight sarcasm in his voice.

Haruhi spun around to face him, she had a stern look and her arms were folded. 

''As the brigade leader, gestures like this should be expected from the brigade members. I don't need to thank you since it's your duty, you understand?''

''Yeah I get it'',Kyon chuckled as began to walk away.

''Hey Kyon!'',Haruhi called out.

Kyon turned around and for a split second the combination of the rain and the soft smile on her face, Haruhi looked absolutely stunning and it made Kyon's heart skip a beat, although it went unnoticed by him.

''What is it?'',He asked expecting her to order him to do something else.

''Th-thanks''

Kyon smiled and yelled out a ''Don't mention it'' as he walked away in the rain. He was finally alone with his thoughts.

'Why do I feel so weird? It's like something I've never experienced before. I've liked people before but it never felt like this, so maybe I don't love Haruhi and maybe the dream didn't mean anything.....but my feelings aside...what does Haruhi think of me? I gotta talk to Koizumi'

As if on cue, as Kyon turned the final corner and could see his house, he also saw the familiar black car and the passive aggressive douche, to go along with it.

''We need to talk'',Koizumi said with his signature smile.

''My thoughts exactly'',Kyon responded as he got into the car and was secretly dreading the conversation.

Author's  Note- Finally finished the second chapter. I had writers block and was putting this off, but I have an idea for it now and I'll hopefully update the story at least once a week, but since school is starting soon, I'm gonna be kinda busy and I can't guarantee anything.
