I am Medusa

"I am Medusa I know my truth. One day they will apologize to me!" A woman's voice said as I stood in a dense fog. I couldn't see her face and I knew not where she stood. "One day he'll get his due! As will she!" The voice said. "Who are you! Where are you!" I said looking around me. "You've grown so much" the voice said. "You don't know me!" I said. "How wrong you are my dear sweet Neonate" she said. I looked around before my eyes fell on a giant shadow in the distance with the upper body of a woman but the lower body of a snake standing at 8 feet tall. I ran towards it determined to face the voice. "Here me Nathan..... I am Medusa" the voice said as the shadow turned away from me. Her reptilian tail extended to around 5 feet long as she looked down. "How do you know my name!" I said as I reached her. "All will be revealed in time for now awaken!" She said and snapped her finger then I awoke in my bedroom. "When will these dreams stop plaguing me! It is bad enough that my parents cursed me with this appearance, before dumping me in this hell hole! Adding on these dreams is just pouring salt!" I thought. My phone buzzed next to me on my nightstand. I picked it up to see a text message from Sky my best friend and the only person who see's past my abnormality. "I'm outside, are you awake yet?" She texted. I stood up and walked to my window to see her standing by the gate to my orphanage. I was shirtless and she looked up before waving at me. "Give me a second" I texted back then got dressed for school. As I was finishing up Lily walks in. "Good morning Nate!" She said. Lily is another orphan here in the orphanage shes also very young at only 8 years old. Her parents died in a car accident when she was only a 1 year old. Since then she's been here. She looks up to me for some reason that I don't know and she likes calling me her big brother. "Hey Lily you ready to go? Sky is waiting on me" I said. "Yay! I get to see sissy Sky!" Lily said excited. I smiled at how cute she is. "I'm only here till I graduate high school.....then Ms. Higgins will kick me out.....I need to check my savings...maybe I have enough to get an apartment or something? Then I can take Lily with me!" I thought.

I picked her up and put her on my shoulders as we left my room and started towards the front door. Along the way we passed by Ms. Higgins the mother of the orphanage. "Just 1 more month" she said snarkily. "Not in her presence!" I said lowly so only she heard me. Ms. Higgins has made it no secret that she hates me. I'm the abnormal boy she was forced to raise and it tarnished her name. She didn't even raise me really. I raised myself she just fed me. I hated her with every fiber of my being! The other kids minus Lily are no different either. They all hate me...I don't know why Lily of all people is attached to me but she is and honestly I'm happy. It made my meek existence mean something....at least for a little bit. Lily is easily the happiest girl in this orphanage, she always has a smile on her face. I'm easily the most depressed boy in this orphanage since I'm often ostracized by my peers. I can't begin to describe how many times Sky had to defend me before. Now I defend her and Lily. "Lily will know safety with me! I'll ensure it!" I thought as we left the house. "Aren't you pretty. Want to come with me?" I heard a guy say outside the gate. "Sky!" I thought and quickly put Lily down telling her to stay behind the gate. I then climbed the wall to see Sky surrounded by three thugs. She was obviously terrified as she froze in place. One touched her cheek making her flinch with fear. My mind flashed back to a few months ago. Sky and I snuck out to a party that in all honesty we had no business being at. Sky is older than me by a few months at this time she just turned 17 and I was still 16. The party was at a frat house and we wanted to go. So we snuck out to go however later the same night I lost sight of Sky. Then I noticed three college boys walking down the stairs snickering among themselves. I neared them to eavesdrop.

"She asked for it haha!" One said. "Trent was right she is very naughty" another said. "Such a pretty blonde too!" The third said. "Blonde? Oh no! Skyler!" I thought and bolted up the stairs. I saw a fourth guy leave a room zipping up the fly on his jeans. "You basterd!" I shouted and punched him sending him into the far wall. I looked at my fist surprised by my own strength. "What the hell?" I thought. I shook my head and walked into the room he just left. Once I did my fears were founded as on the bed laid Skyler naked with tears in her eyes and marks on her arms as if she was injected with something. "Sky!" I said and took my shirt off using it to cover her up. I then went around the room picking up her clothes i placed them in her purse I found and lifted her up. Once I had her sitting up I put my shirt on her and due to my stature it acted like a t-shirt dress for her covering her naked body all the way to her knees. I then put her purse in her chest and picked her up. "I'm so sorry Sky! I wasn't alert enough!" I said as tears formed in my greyish blue eyes. She reached up and touched my face before wiping my tears away. Then we left the party and I began to form a plan in my head of revenge for Sky. I did carry out the plan too. The next day I skipped school since Sky didn't go either and went back to the frat house. Once my eyes landed on Trent again I enacted my plan. He was alone so I grabbed him by his shirt as he cussed at me to let him go and dragged him away from prying eyes. Once we were alone I quickly turned around and punched him again in his stomach making him bend over. Then I kicked him into the wall making him cough up blood. "Did you enjoy raping a 17 year old girl?" I said. I then kicked his face making it knock against the wall busting up the back of his head causing blood to pour out from his skull. I didn't stop there however I was gonna make him pay! I then continued to kick and kick his face in until he stopped crying. I would beat him to the brink of death.....at least that was my plan. It went out the window however as I kicked him once more however my foot kicked the wall. "Huh?" I said and moved back and to my horror Trent was headless. "I.......I......I killed him!" I thought.
