The only sounds Travis could hear were the thumping of his trainers against the concrete and the thundering of his heart in his ears as he sprinted down the street to the hospital.

"Taylor, Taylor Swift" he panted as he skidded to a halt at the front desk. "I need to see her, please" The lady behind the desk typed at her keyboard, her brows furrowed.
"Floor seven, room 113" she told him, looking up. Travis barely had time to thank her before he was off, weaving down identical white washed corridors.

The smell of antiseptic hung in the air as he eventually stopped outside a room, 113 on the door. He almost cracked a smile at the thought of her lucky number, but his expression turned back to worry and sadness as he rested his hand on the door handle.

With a click the door opened, revealing bare white room with just a bed in the middle. Taylor was in the centre of the bed, looking pale and tiny against the stark white sheets. Her hair was spread around her in a halo, her hands clasped delicately over her stomach. Her chest was rising and falling slowly as the monitor above her beeped, and she had various wires and tubes hooked around her.

"Taylor" Travis cried, almost sobbing in relief. He collapsed into the chair beside the bed, taking her hands. He pressed a kiss to her forehead, her cool skin prominent beneath his lips.
"Taylor... My baby, why would you do that?" He had tears running down his cheeks as he held her close, savouring the feel of her body against his.

Just then he felt a slight movement beneath his fingers as a soft sigh released from her lips.
"Travis?" She mumbled, her eyes squinting open.
"Taylor, oh my god" Travis sobbed, his arms wrapped around her body. "I was so scared Taylor, so so scared. Don't ever do that to me again, never ever ever"
"I'm sorry" Taylor whispered, her voice scratchy as she squeezed his hands gently. "It was just... too much. I'm sorry"

"No, no, don't apologise" Travis spoke quickly, gently removing her hands from his and pushing her hair back from her face. He looked deep into her eyes and he could feel the longing, tugging at his heart. He had to do it. He had gotten so close to losing her, and he couldnt bare the thought of that happening again.

"Taylor, I..." He took a breath, trying to compose himself. "I love you"

A beat. Nothing. Then a breath, a sigh.
"Travis, I-"

Travis was shaken out of his thoughts by a gentle hand on his shoulder, Abigail looking at him in a concerned manner. He looked around, blinking quickly. The classroom was now empty, save for Travis and Abigail. He was now sitting on a chair, Abigail crouched infront of him.

"Is... Is she okay?" He asked, his voice cracking.
"I'm sorry, they... It was too late, she was too far gone"

And that was when Travis just about broke.

A/N short one!
