You And I

Chapter one

*FLASHBACK* 

"Please no! Don't leave me. I need you,your my best friend! Please" I said tears coming down my eyes. Ashton looked at me looking like he's going to break down any moment. Well I think I should explain, Ashton is my next door neighbour,he's my best friend and here we are standing outside his 3 story house and he's got all his baggage and is leaving to go to Texas. Far away I mean we live in England for crying out loud. "Sophie, I need to go.." So here we are 12 year olds. Hugging each other,neither of us want to let go.

Maria speaks up "Ashton we really need to go, your dads waiting for us." Maria hugged my mum one last time and told her they would visit. Before they left. Ashton whispered a quick "I will be back i promise."

They then got in the taxi and drove off.

I was speechless, I don't even know why they left. My best friend just left me. Who am I supposed to play with in school? Who am I going to eat with? My mummy interrupted my thoughts " hunny it's getting late, how about I get you some hot milk and you can go to bed?" 

I nodded.

I rushed to my bedroom as soon as I got my hot milk, my best friend who I basically lived with, left me. I did  

everything with Ashton. He was my rock, my world, everything ! He was my only friend he used to stick up for me when all the bullies pushed me around..

*END OF FLASHBACK*

 

I got those dreams every night and its 4 years later. I sighed. I'm sixteen now and these dreams still happen. I wish I could just get over it, but I can't. I yawned. It's my first day back to school. Summer is over. Ugh. I looked at the clock, I have a hour to get ready. I rushed to the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror and laughed. My hair was sticking up in different directions. I hated my hair, it's long luscious blonde and naturally curly.

I fixed my hair into a messy bun,and put foundation,blusher. Then I applied bubble gum clear lipgloss. I wasn't going to top it, when I was happy with my appearance I went and chose my outfit,  

I settled on a blouse that showed just the right amount of skin and light blue shorts that were high waisted.  

I got my cheer leading outfit ready In my bag and put some bangles on my wrist and ran out the door. I had 10 minutes to meet my friends, Carly who had redish hair and made her look beautiful, Blake who had jet black hair.

Well we were the most popular because apparently we are the 'hottest' but really all we were was regular teens, I hated all the attention I got, boys coming up to me 24hrs a day chatting you up.  

I got in my car and rode to school, when I got there I quickly parked and got out. As I walked to the building and Andy a jock came up to me "not now Andy i really need to hurry." He smiled " later then, baby girl." He winked as I rolled my eyes.  

As I walked past another group they were whistling knowing it was for me I turned around to face them. I mean I don't even know who these boys were. Seriously.  

I kept walking til I finally got to the door to enter, I quicken my pace and I saw Carly and Blake.

"Hey guys" I greeted them pulling Carly into a hug then Blake . "Oh my gosh, I have had 5 numbers slipped into my back pocket already" she gushed. I rolled my eyes  

She always seem to like the attention,  

The bell rang, Blake and I had next class together Physics. Once we got into the classroom we said our goodbyes as we don't sit beside each other, I looked at my little table, I forgot the girl cindy moved away looks like I'm sitting by myself. I sat down slouching this period is going to be boring.

Mr. Henderson walked in,gosh he's so old, " hey everyone! We have a new person in our class." A boy about my age walked in he looked so familiar, that's when it clicked that's ash- "Ashton Taylor" Mr Henderson said brightly, I gasped, everyone turned to me, I shut my mouth " we'll Ashton looks like your sitting beside Sophie. And your in all Sophie's classes so you can help him around,Sophie"

I nodded, Ashton was staring at me, I smiled alittle awkwardly, he walked to the seat next to me. He looked like god! He had brown hair and it was messy but a good way,he was wearing a white plain top and you can see his 6 pack through it and his jeans looked amazing on him.

He was next to me now my mouth hanging open. "Soph, your going to catch flies, also it's not attractive" he smirked. I snapped my mouth shut you could tell he was a player, "wow nothing to say best friend" his eyes roamed onto my body for a second " wow, thank god to puberty. Your looking hot!"

I smiled "your not bad yourself" I flirted back "So you remember me?" I asked looking down.

"Of course, Sophie, I never forgot you.how about we hang out later?"he said smirking.  

Oh hell no " what do you have in mind?" I asked curiously

"How about movies?" He asked. I nodded " sounds gr-"  

I looked around the classroom everyone was looking at us even the teacher. I blushed, " so Ashton and Sophie you finished your little chit chat are we?" He said sarcastically,  

Ashton burst into laughter but recovered by turning it into a cough.  

After that period me and Ashton got on the same as before, even though we were flirty as well ;) we are in 4th period which is maths he's on most of my tables so that's a good thing because no body who's not popular dont sit beside me because they think I'm a bitch, which is not true. " uh Soph, you don't mind if I sit beside you at lunch because you know I don't no any one?" He said uncomfortably. 

Me, Carly and Andy sit beside the cheer leaders and jocks because we are 'popular'. 

 

"Of course you'll be with all the popular ones though as we all sit together, like the jocks and cheer leaders". He smirked " great! And that's good because I've joined the team of jocks " he winked.  

" you mean you are a jock? Great. Another boy that will hit on girls" I rolled my eyes playfully.

He chuckled. Good that boy is beautiful.  

" that's what a lot of girls say, I'm beautiful, but id rather perfect but whatever" he winks.

"I really need to stop saying things out loud. " I muttered

He ruffled my hair. "Hey! My hair!"

He chuckled " Still cute as you used to be."
