"Celine, Ferdie is asking for you in his office" a coworker told me upon returning to the office from a meeting with a client.

"Okay, I'll be there. Thanks!"

I walked to my table and placed my things before heading to the manager's office. I knocked on his door before entering.

"Celine, your back. How's the meeting with the Cuevas?"

"Hi, Ferdie. It was great, we discussed a few things regarding the tour package and after, they already signed the contract. They'll be sending the advance payment tomorrow" I filled him up with the details of the meeting.

"That's great, thank you. But.." he stopped talking and did something on his laptop and then turned its screen towards me.

'Nana Tour?'

"Arthur will handle the tour booked by the Cuevas so I need you to discuss everything with him as soon as possible"

What?

"What do you mean? That tour package was booked under my team" I told Ferdie.

"Okay, calm down and let me explain" he stood up and sat on the chair in front of me.

"That-" he points to the screen of his laptop "is a project that the CEO himself assigned to you and your team. It is booked by a Korean variety show and given your family background, he knows it will be easier to have you handle this one and also we believe that you and your team are the perfect fit for this project. So are you gonna take it?"

He looked at me with a raised brow and a mischievous smile.

"Don't smile like that, you look like an idiot" I told him rolling my eyes.

"You're hurting my feelings, Celine, my dear" he acted as if he was hurt and returned to his seat.

"Oh please, you're so dramatic"

"So what will it be? Are you accepting the offer?" he asked while typing on his laptop.

"Who am I to turn down the CEOs offer? I'm just a mere team leader in this company" I told him.

"Look who's being dramatic" he rolled his eyes playfully and I just stuck my tongue out to tease him.

"I already sent the details to your email. Everything that you'll need will be there and please discuss the Cuevas tour details to Arthur within this day so you can start working on your new project"

"Yes, manager~" I left his office after and went back to my table.

I slumped on my chair trying to process what Ferdie told me.

"You looked so worn out, you okay?"

I didn't notice my assistant, Martina, standing in front of my desk.

"Yeah just worn out, it's so hot outside" I told her and sat properly on my chair.

"I know right"

She leaned on my table while tapping on her phone.

"Can you and Rocco meet me at the cafe after 10 minutes? Please bring your laptops with you" I told my assistant.

"Yeah sure, I'll go ahead and tell him now"

I thanked her before she left.

I reached for my laptop and opened it to start working on the documents I will be discussing with my assistants and to Arthur.

"So the Cuevas' tour will be handled by Arthur's team now?" Rocco asked.

"Yes" I answered.

"You look disappointed" I looked over at Rocco after hearing Martina's words and he really looked disappointed.

"I'm not disappointed, just sad. I won't be having a chance to be around Matteo Cuevas anymore" he said slumping on his sit.

"HAHAHA I KNEW IT! You're really head over heels for that man? I heard he's a playboy" Martina said while laughing.

"Hey, you're ruining my man's image" Rocco fired back.

"Yeah whatever, he's not even YOUR man to begin with"

They continued bickering while I work on some documents.

"By the way, Celine, when are we meeting Team Beta?" Martina asked referring to Arthur's team with heart eyes.

"You're still crushing on Arthur? He's not even that good-looking. Come on, Tina, you can do better than that" Rocco said and sipped on his fruit shake.

"Look who's talking" Tina replied and threw a piece of paper to Rocco's direction.

"You two are hopeless, really" I commented on their little banter.

"We'll meet them after lunch in the conference room then after we'll discuss the new project" I explained.

After our discussion turned into Rocco and Martina's banter session, we packed up and prepared to go out for lunch.

We decided to have pizza for lunch so we headed to our favorite pizza place just in front of our building.

After coming back from lunch, we proceeded to the meeting with Arthur and his team and discussed the project that we'll hand over to them. Luckily there were no questions and the meeting went well.

It took us longer than expected to wrap up the meeting so I wasn't able to meet my team as planned. We just decided to move the team meeting on Monday since it's a Friday and I don't want to bother my team during the weekends.

The meeting ended just before the office's closing time. I fixed my things before heading out.

"Bye, Celine! Have a great weekend!"

"Bye, Cel!"

Rocco and Martina bid me their good-byes before they headed out and I waved back to them. Once done gathering my things and cleaning my desk I headed out and walked home.
