Lucy's Pov:
I'm lying in bed right now. My boyfriend Tim left as he had gotten a phone call from an old partner. It's been five hours and he won't respond to my texts or calls I'm getting extremely nervous I can't sleep it's been three hours since I went to bed I've played white noise sounds. It usually gets me to go to sleep but sometimes I need to be in Tim's arms to go to sleep but I can't he's not here and the white noise isn't helping.
Tim's Pov:
I got a phone call from an old buddy James he was one of my men in the army when I was a squad leader. I haven't heard from him until tonight. One of my men everyone thought was dead was alive. James had spotted him. I drove to the place James told me to meet him at and we are currently sitting inside my truck waiting to see if the guy ray is even hear. Part of me believes James but another part of me thinks he's lying but he wouldn't lie for no reason he's better than that. I've gotten 27 missed calls from Lucy and 60 missed texts. She's worrying about me. I can tell.
*hours later*
Lucy's Pov:
It's been thirty-six hours where is he! I'm sitting at the island in my kitchen hoping Tim's going to walk in that door any moment I keep thinking about him bleeding out at a variety of Los Angeles landmarks. He still won't answer my calls or texts! I don't even know if he's still alive at this point. I'm fidgeting with my phone case pushing it on and off my phone worrying about him. I don't want anything to happen to him. I love him!
*the door opens and Tim walks in*
Lucy:"oh good your not dead" she says in a disappointed but glad tone
Tim:"I'm sorry"
Lucy:"not good enough I've spent the last 36 hours imagining you bleeding out at a variety of Los Angeles land marks!"
Tim:"I would've called you if I could"
Lucy:"telling me you're alive is not optional! What the hell are you into that's making you so crazy?"
Tim:"I can't tell you"
Lucy:"why?!"
Tim:"cause even knowing about it will put you at risk with the department"
Lucy:"you committed a crime?"
Tim:"no. I mean no not not technically"
Lucy:"but you've done something that I would be compelled to report and if I didn't I would get disciplined?"
Tim:"I'm not gonna have my drama affect you!"
Lucy:"then what are you doing here!"
Tim:"I came to see you"
Lucy:"and what? Order take in watch tv pretend like nothings going on?"
Tim:"no I-"
Lucy:"if you aren't here to tell me the truth then.. I need you to leave"
Tim:"understood"
