Grades don't determine how intelligent you are.
Just because you attain high grades it doesn't automatically make you more academically or mentally competent than other students. Just because you attain low grades it doesn't make you inferior to those around you who have obtained higher grades. Grades are a superficial way of determining the intelligence of an individual. Your performance in your exam can be affected by various factors, such as feelings of anxiety, nervousness, or the fear of failing, the fear of disappointing your parents especially in the case of those whose parents have high expectations of their children, and your environment.
Therefore, when you are not satisfied by those numbers that you see on your report card, remember that you can always do better next time and this in turn will further inspire you to study harder and smarter. More importantly, your grades do not signify your mental or intellectual competence. Take note of this reminder wherever you go as you continue to tread on in your academic journey, fellow student.
