The Life

Chapter Two

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing with my long hair in my face and a tight grip around my waist.

I open my eyes but immediately squint when I look directly at the sun.

I sit up as much as I can with weight pulling me down, and as I'm still squinting, I pick up the phone, not knowing who's calling me.

"Hello?" I yawn out. I pull my phone away from my ear when I hear a loud voice saying. "Maliyah! Are you still at Rafes?"

"Yes, mom, I am. Why?" I ask. I look over at Rafe to see that he is starting to wake up.

"Okay, great, me and your father are coming over to see Ward and Rose. Oh, and we're bringing Corah. "

My eyes finally opened but wide. "What, no, no mom, it's okay. Just leave her with the nanny," I tell her, hoping she will.

It's not that I don't like my baby sister she just takes all my boyfriends attention away from me.

"What? No, she's coming. we'll be there soon." She's says before she hangs up.

Great.

"What was that all about?" I hear a sleepy voice beside me, say. "Just my mom," I say, looking back at him.

If my sister is coming over in a few minutes, then I have to get as much attention as I can get. Literally.

As he starts to sit up to the headboard, I jump on top of his lap at start to kiss him. Thankfully, he kisses me back.

He's pulls away and asks. "What's this for?" I pull him back to the kiss and can feel his cheaky smirk through the kiss.

"No reason," I respond, trying not to break the kiss. He pulls away and looks at me. "I can tell something is wrong, so tell me. "

I really don't want to tell him. Otherwise, he will be too excited to kiss me. But I have to. "Mom is bringing Corah," I say reluctantly I can just see his face light up

"Ahh, I see well whats the time we should be getting -" I cut him off before he finished his sentence.

I pull his hand away from his phone and to my ass. "Just kiss me," I say into the kiss.

Just as the kiss was getting somewhere, there was a knock at the door. "Hey Maliyah, your parents said their gonna be here in 10, so get ready hun."

We slowly break the kiss. "Looks like our fun got cut short." He smirks. I hit his chest and got up to go to the bathroom to shower Rafe following after me.

He locks the door and starts to look at himself in the mirror while I turn on the shower to let it run for a couple of minutes.

"I just don't understand why she needs to bring her. We have nannies for a reason." I say as I remove my clothing.

I hop in the shower, and Rafe examines my body head to toe.

He takes off his boxers and gets in with me. "Well, I think it's kind of nice, don't you think." He says, looking down at me.

Gosh, his eyes are unbearable to look at.

"She's my little sister. You love her way too much." I say sarcastically.

The conversation ends there, and we finish our shower.

We start to put on some clothes when we hear a car pull up.

"I think their here." Rafe points out. I quickly chuck on one of Rafes' t-shirts and look out the window.

It's them.

We see them start to walk in the house, and that's when Rafe grabs my hand and takes me to the stairs.

"Hey mom, hey dad." I say as I walk down the stairs behind Rafe. "Hey baby." Mom replies.

Corah puts out her arms for me to grab her from moms arms, and I do. So sweet.

"Corah, do you remember Rafey?" I ask her. She gets shy and puts her head to my chest, trying to hide.

I giggle at her, not remembering him. "Seems like she doesn't know you." I smile at Rafe.

He rolls his eyes as he starts to play slightly with her in my arms.

"Maliyah, here's her diaper bag, and she is due for a nap, so could you please feed her her bottle and put her down for me?" She asks, handing me Corahs bag.

"Of course, mom." I reply with a smile. She kisses me on the cheek before she heads off to the kitchen with Rose.

I turn to Rafe. "Do you wanna feed her?" I say. His face lights up as I pass Corah over to him.

We walk over to the living room and sit down on the couch. I grabbed her blanket, pacifier, and bottle and handed it to Rafe.

He put the blanket around her body but not too tight so she could still move her arms.

He starts to feed her while I put on a movie to watch.

After a few minutes of feeding, she was still awake and didn't seem tired at all, so he gave her her pacifier and started to rock her slowly.

Still wasn't budging.

"Hand her here." I say. He was hesitant at first but eventually gave her to me.

I hold her in my arms and stand up and start to sway.

I could just feel his eyes on me.

After 5 minutes of doing that, she was asleep.

"How did you do that." He says amused.  "Sister things." I reply before putting her down onto the space next to me.

We surrounded her with pillows and put pillows on the ground just in case.

"That was impressive." He says as he moves in closer to me. He outs his arm around my shoulders and pulls me to his chest.

"I'm just really cool." I say with a cocky smirk. He scoffs and returns to the movie.

Small cries fill the air as Corah starts to wake up.

"Well, good morning, sunshine." I say to her as I pick her up and lay her on my chest for a moment.

I lift her up so she is sitting on my lap, and she starts to smile.

"Do you wanna go to Rafey?" I say to her as I pass her over to Rafe. He stands up and starts to sway with her.

Like a little dance.

I put on some music on the TV and he starts to spin and dance with her.

Her laughs are all we hear.

"Woo go, Corah!" I say as I clap gently.

Footsteps start to arrive at the lounge as my parents walk in on Rafe dancing with Corah.

"What a pleasant sight!" My dad chuckles. He stops and stares at them, feeling flattered.

Mom walks over and grabs Corah from Rafe. "Aren't you just having so much fun, Cory?" She exclaims.

"Leaving?" I ask mom. Yup, we're gonna go on the boat for a bit. We heard Topper was hosting a pool party today."

Pool party, huh?

I look back at Rafe and give him eyes that would say,'we are definitely going.'

"No way, I didn't hear about that. But we'll be there." I say, looking back at mom.

"Alright, so you'll stay here again?" I nod back. "You know it."

With that, mom and dad say thank you and bye to Ward and Rose, and they leave.

This party is going to be absolutely fire.

Just you wait and see.
