Alisa's POV

Wrapping myself in a towel and leaving my bathroom I walked over to my closet and picked out an outfit for the day. I grabbed a pink sweater that said "Talk Disney To Me" on the front with a black tank top under it and my favorite pair of skinny jeans. I paired my outfit with my black ankle boots with a heel on them and my usual makeup that consisted of concealer, powder, thick eyeliner, and some dark mascara on my long lashes. I added my favorite feather earrings and necklace. I wasn't ugly, far from it actually with my toned legs and flat stomach from dancing for the past eight years of my life, but I wasn't just drop-dead-gorgeous either. In my mind I was just average.

After throwing my forever untamable auburn hair into a messy bun, I headed downstairs to grab some breakfast.

"Alisa! Don't you dare eat that! You're going to get fat!" My mother screamed at me.

"But, Mom, it's not like I'm not active enough! Can't I have just one morning to eat what I want?" I pleaded with her. "One bowl of cocoa puffs is not going to make me fat!" I exclaimed.

"Alisa, you know you have to watch your figure what with all the college scouts watching you this last semester of school. You don't want to scare them off with your stomach and thighs jiggling all over the place do you?" She always does this. She acts like a little body fat is going to kill me. In all honesty, I envy the girls whose parents let them eat what they want.

I'm a dancer. I was born to dance. I just know it. It relieves my stress, helps me concentrate, and just lets me escape from all the shit in my life for a while. When I'm dancing, I can imagine that it's just me and a world all my own. I have my own language and no one knows it but me.

Trading in my precious cocoa puffs for a granola bar and an apple, I quickly ate and grabbed my brown leather bag. After that, I hopped in my truck, a little ford pick-up with chipped light blue paint, heading off to school.

My mom is right about one thing, though. College scouts are watching me right now, and that is something I cannot mess up. It's my one ticket out of here. I have to get a scholarship. I will get a scholarship. I hope...

Kyle's POV

Yawning and rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I look at my clock and see that I missed my alarm!

"Crap! I'm gonna be late!" I yelled. I jumped out of bed and threw on some jeans and a Green Day t-shirt and grabbed my black and white converse. With no time to shower I simply ran my fingers through my hair, grabbed my bag and ran out the door.

I had a meeting with my basketball coach this morning and if I miss it I can pretty much kiss being captain goodbye. I drove my motorcycle as fast as I could through the streets of my hometown. I could not be late!

I cursed under my breath as I caught yet another red light. At this rate, I would not only miss my meeting, but half of my first period class as well. I mentally sighed in relief as I saw the school come into view. My coach's car was just pulling into the parking lot.

Thank You, God! I thought as I pulled into my usual parking space and started to head to the boys locker room. It's make it or break it time. We were about to find out who would take over as captain of the basketball team for this season. I was a senior and this would be my last chance at being captain before graduation. I had worked my entire high school career for this. I just hoped it all worked out.

(A/N)
Hey everyone! Here's the first part to my new story. I hope you enjoyed it. I know it's not the longest update in the world but it IS only the prologue. The next update will be better. This is more just to introduce the two main characters than to serve as an ACTUAL chapter.

Anyways, since I'm starting to babble, I'll wrap this up so that I can go work on CHAPTER ONE!
