The world swam back into focus, blurry at first, then sharp and painfully clear.  Agent X, or what was left of her, lay sprawled on cold, metallic ground. The taste of blood – her blood – lingered on her tongue. But this wasn't the alleyway where she'd died, betrayed by the one person she trusted. This was…different. Cleaner. More sterile.

A wave of fragmented memories crashed over her – the chilling betrayal, the horde of grotesque zombies, the searing pain of a knife in her back. Then, a new sensation: a cacophony of thoughts, a swirling vortex of emotions emanating from the people surrounding her. Fear. Curiosity. Relief.

She opened her eyes. They were watching her. Doctors, in crisp white coats, their thoughts a jumbled mess of medical jargon and hushed concern. But beneath the surface, she heard it – the whisper of her own name, laced with disbelief and a hint of…something akin to guilt?

This was her second chance. A chance to unravel the truth behind her death, to expose her killer, and to exact her revenge.  Her body felt stronger, faster, more agile than it ever had before. Her combat skills, honed over years of covert operations, were sharper, more instinctive. And now, she possessed a weapon far more potent than any firearm: the ability to read minds.

The game had changed. And Agent X was ready to play.
