Wish leaned against the gym doors, his duffle bag slung casually over one shoulder, a faint smirk playing on his lips. The hum of whispers and giggles followed him wherever he went, like a personal entourage of admirers.

Being the school's best athlete wasn't just a title—it was his reality. Whether it was scoring the winning goal at soccer games or acing track meets, Wish excelled. Naturally, everyone noticed.

"Wish, good luck at the championships!" one girl called out as she passed, cheeks pink.

"Thanks," he replied with a polite nod, not breaking stride.

But none of it mattered. Not the compliments, the attention, or even Yueun—the reigning queen of the school's social scene—who constantly tried to capture his attention.

Because Wish only had eyes for Y/N.

Y/N, the Untouchable Class President.

She was intelligent, organized, and always seemed to have her life together. If there was a school event, Y/N was the one behind the scenes making it happen. While she wasn't as flashy as those who swooned over Wish, her quiet confidence caught his attention like no one else ever had.

The problem? Y/N wasn't interested in Wish. Or at least, that's what she wanted everyone to believe.

"You're staring again," Keum, Wish's best friend, muttered, jabbing him in the ribs with his elbow.

Wish blinked, realizing he'd been gazing across the cafeteria at Y/N, who was engrossed in conversation with her friends. She laughed at something, and Wish felt an inexplicable warmth spread through him.

"I'm not staring," he grumbled.

"You're basically writing her name in your notebook," Keum teased. "Just admit it. You've got it bad."

Wish didn't deny it.

One day after soccer practice, Wish spotted Y/N at the bulletin board in the hallway, pinning up a flyer.

"Hey, Class President," he called, jogging over to her.

Y/N turned, clipboard in hand. She raised an unimpressed eyebrow. "Wish. Can I help you with something?"

"Yeah," he said, leaning casually against the wall. "You busy Saturday? Thought you might want to come to my game."

Her eyes narrowed, though there was a flicker of amusement in her expression. "Your game? You mean the one you'll definitely win because you always do?"

"You sound impressed."

"I'm not," she retorted, though her tone was playful.

"Come on, Y/N. You're all about supporting school events, right? This counts."

She tilted her head, pretending to consider it. "Hmm, maybe. But I'm running the fundraiser booth that day, so I'll be busy."

Wish frowned. "I'll help you pack up afterward if you come," he offered quickly.

Y/N chuckled, walking away before he could say more. "We'll see."

The days that followed saw Wish's increasingly bold attempts to get closer to Y/N.

He started showing up at student council meetings under the guise of wanting to "help."

"Why are you here, Wish?" Y/N asked, exasperated.

"Just thought I'd lend a hand," he said, flashing a disarming smile.

"You've never cared about council business before."

"Guess you inspire me," he quipped.

Y/N rolled her eyes but let him stay.

There was also the time he joined her team for the school's community cleanup day.
