“Baby, we’re leaving now! Remember, if you face any problems, call us, okay? We’ll always be there for you!” Mrs. Jeon said gently, pulling Jimin into a warm hug. Jimin's tears streamed down his cheeks as he clung to her, his emotions spilling over.

“Jungkook, take good care of him,” Mr. Jeon said, placing a firm, reassuring hand on his son’s shoulder. Jungkook nodded, offering a small smile of assurance. The couple stood in Jungkook’s apartment, preparing to leave for America, their expressions a mix of pride and worry. After a final round of hugs and farewells, the Jeons departed, leaving Jimin wiping his eyes, though the tears didn’t stop falling.

“Jimin-ah, don’t cry, please.” Jungkook’s voice was soft yet steady as he placed a comforting hand on Jimin’s shoulder. “They’re not too far. If you miss them, we can always visit, and they can come back anytime. It’s not a big deal, baby.” He gently led Jimin into the apartment, trying his best to ease the younger's sorrow.

An awkward silence soon fell over them as they stood in the living room, both unsure of what to say. The newness of their relationship and the circumstances weighed heavily between them.

“Jimin, come. I’ll show you to your bedroom,” Jungkook finally said, breaking the quiet as he walked toward a smaller room down the hall.

“This used to be my study,” he explained, opening the door to reveal a cozy, freshly furnished bedroom. “I converted it into a bedroom for you. I thought maybe you’d feel more comfortable having your own space for now, since we’re still getting used to... everything.”

Jimin’s face visibly relaxed, the relief evident in his features. He offered Jungkook a small, grateful smile. “Thank you for understanding,” he said softly. The thoughtful gesture gave him a sense of security in this unfamiliar environment, a safe zone to retreat to.

Jungkook gave him an encouraging nod, his own smile faint but genuine. “Take your time to settle in. Goodnight, Jimin.”

Jimin murmured a quiet “Goodnight” in response before stepping into his room. The night passed quietly, with the newlyweds sleeping in separate rooms, each lost in their thoughts.

Despite the silence, a subtle sense of respect and understanding began to bloom between them, setting the stage for what would hopefully become a stronger bond.

Jungkook’s POV

I woke up at my usual time, stretching lazily before heading toward the kitchen to prepare something for breakfast. Last night was supposed to be our first night as a married couple, but I know Jimin is still adjusting to everything—our relationship, this house, and me. I want him to feel as comfortable as possible, so I gave him his own room for now. He needs time to settle in.

Still, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel tempted. Sharing a space with someone as beautiful as Jimin, especially when I know he’s mine now, makes self-control a challenge. Giving him his own space isn’t just for his comfort—it’s also to help me keep myself in check.

As I approached the kitchen, the delicious aroma of freshly cooked food hit me, making my stomach rumble. Curious, I quickened my pace, only to stop in my tracks at the sight before me.

Jimin was cooking. He stood by the stove, his fluffy morning hair sticking out in all directions, dressed in an oversized hoodie that made him look so small and adorable. The way his lips pouted slightly in concentration was enough to send my heart racing. He was perfect.

I couldn’t help myself. A morning kiss wouldn’t hurt, right?

I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling him into a back hug. “Good morning, baby,” I murmured softly, leaning closer to catch a whiff of his sweet scent.
