Slowly, Uirusu came back to her senses. Her vision was blurry, her ears were ringing, her body numb. The first thing she felt was a strange moisture underneath her, something cointained on the floor. It was like a wet carpeted floor. Her eyes could percieve that her surroundings were completely yellow, the only exception being the lights on the ceiling, which were white. And there was a strange buzzing too.
For a few moments, as she fully regained consciousness, she thought the buzzing was on her head, but she soon found that was incorrect. It was all around her, giving her a bit of a headache already. Through groggy eyes, still confused, she saw she was on some kind of laberinth, with the walls covered on a yellow paterned wallpaper, and the carpet yellow as well. The rooms repeated over and over as far as she could see, never being able to see an end.
She tried getting up, and her legs nearly gave out. She held onto the nearest wall, feeling like she had hit her head. Finally, as she looked around, she processed her surroundings.
Where was she?
Confused, she turned to the last thing she remembered. She was standing on the corner of the street, right? And she had crossed towards the other side, and then... she fell? She got hit by a car? What happened?
She breathed in and out, not letting panic get to her. Surely, there must be a way out. It looked like a shopping mall's backrooms. Or an outlet's. What was clear to her was that she felt sore. And that there was no one around. And, apart from the constant and now annoying buzzing of the lights, there was no other sound.
She grabbed at her bag before actually realizing she had it on her. She searched it. Yes, keys, phone, wallet, a notebook, pens... everything was there. More importantly, she had a water bottle with her, and a peanut butter sandwich. She didn't know why, but she had the sensation she would spend a lot of time there... wherever she was, that is.
She decided to get going. There had to be a way out somewhere. Her booties slightly sinked on the moist carpet with every step, and it hadn't been more than half an hour before her head seemed like it was going to explode. The only noise was the buzzing of the lights, and it was driving her crazy... And that made her recall something. Suddenly, a small smile tugged on her lips as she opened her bag and grabbed her headphones. She had forgotten she brought them.
Uirusu checked her phone. Huh. The hour was 00:00, but when she double tapped on it, she could see that the seconds were stuck on 00 as well. A hint of dread crawled to her mind, but she brushed it off. It might just be her device malfunctioning. She still had 97% battery (she charged it before she left her home), so she connected the headphones and put on some music.

The quiet tunes were enough to block out the rest of the world, and it calmed her down a bit.
As she continued walking through the level, she began to pick up some things with the corner of her eye. There seemed to be movement on the floor, like there were creatures crawling underneath the wallpaper. But when she turned around, she saw nothing.
