There was no going back. There had never been the chance to ever since I stepped foot at that motel with Sam. I wanted to say that my life had taken a positive turn, but with all that happened, that didn't sound so true.
We had the odds stacked against us pretty high, the stakes at unbelievable heights. I guess I could be considered a hunter, with as many cases as I had been on. But I knew I hadn't seen everything, there was plenty more to be thrown our way. We'd take it in stride and come out on top. We had to.
