Hermits' Weird Playing Styles/Setups Ranked (plus mine)

Okay first off, I just want to say that this is entirely my own opinion and I'm not genuinely making fun to any of the Hermits. They're all wonderful people and they have a right to do whatever they want, this is just a silly thing I wanted to do after watching Mumbo's episode 8 of HC s10 lol

I'm going to be ranking all of the Hermits (that are involved) and explaining their weird playing styles (I'll insert myself in there somewhere) with explanations as to why I put them where. 1 is the least weird and 12 is the most weird. I will be ranked twice though because I play on both PC and Switch

1. Keralis:
-Plays left-handed. That's it LMAO
I don't see anything wrong with him playing left-handed at all, especially because he's left-handed. It's really not that weird to me

2. Grian:
-Inventory opens with the F key
-Hotbar slot and off-hand switch with E key
-Really bloody old headset from 2008
I'm putting him at the second least weird because honestly it's really not weird to me ajskaka It's just swapped the E and F key and if it's more comfy, then it's more comfy. The only thing about his setup that I would consider odd is the fact that his headset is 16 years old LMAO Otherwise, everything's pretty normal to me

3. Me (on Switch):
-ZR is place/use
-ZL is break/hit
-X is jump
-Y is inventory
-B is drop item
-A is crouch
I've been told that using X to jump (in any game) is odd, but I genuinely like it better than A or B (B TO JUMP IS THE FUCKING WORST BTW I HATE IT WITH A PASSION). And I obviously had to rearrange my buttons accordingly. I don't like using the arrow buttons because it's annoying to have to move my thumb down from the joystick, so I just switched that to B and I made A crouch because I wanted to lol I also switched the ZR and ZL because I'm right-handed and I prefer to place with my right because it feels better to me (don't mention this when we get to my PC setup :sob:). However, I don't really find these control modifications very weird because they're not very drastic changes (I mean, how drastic can you get on a Switch controller unless you're like using your pinky finger for the joystick??). Idk maybe I'm just too weird to understand the strangeness of my controls LMAO

4. False:
-Inventory opens with I key
The sole reason I'm ranking her as 4 is because the I key is so far away from WASD that it genuinely disturbs me that she would find that more convenient/comfortable :sob:

5. Gem:
-Caps Lock key to crouch
-R to change perspective
I get the small hands thing but it seems much more uncomfortable to use caps lock instead of shift or CTRL

6. Cleo:
-Sits on the sofa
-Keyboard on her knees
-Mousepad and mouse on top of a "flat of soda cans"
I approve of the comfy-ness of the sofa but keyboard on the knees is too much for me

7. Me (on PC):
-E key is drop item
-Shift key is inventory
-CTRL is sprint
-C to crouch
-V for chat
-Q key to change perspective
-LMouse to place/use
-RMouse to break/hit
-Mouse behind literally everything
BEFORE ANY OF YOU COME FOR ME, LET ME DEFEND MYSELF. I hate the shift to sprint toggle. Genuinely. I hate it so much and idrk why?? I guess it made my fingers cramp, idk. But I do hate it, so I changed it to the control key because it's more comfortable. C for crouching just makes more sense in my brain because yk, crouch starts with C and the c is right next to my thumb on the space bar. ALSO FOR THE MOUSE BUTTONS IK I SAID BEFORE THAT RIGHT FEELS BETTER FOR PLACING BLOCKS BUT MY USING INDEX FINGER FOR THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN IT BEIJG ON THE RIGHT SIDE. Ahem. I also like to stretch my arms out because I get muscle cramps, so that's why my mouse is behind everything. I genuinely cannot explain the Q and V keys though :sob: And although I'm defending myself, I can definitely admit when my setup is slightly odd and... this is pretty odd ngl I don't know many people that use Q to change their perspective LMAO

8. Joe:
-Sprint with foot pedal
-Mute with foot pedal
It's honestly not that weird (more funny than weird in all honesty) but I couldn't imagine trying to get used to being that coordinated with your body LMAO My ADHD could literally NEVER get my hands and feet to get along like that

9. Impulse:
-Inverted looking up and down with his mouse (down is up and up is down)
-Sprinting with thumb on mouse
I have genuinely no issue with the thumb on the mouse because that's kind of cool to me (though again, my ADHD could never coordinate that well to pull that off) BUT THE INVERTED MOUSE- I can't. It's too much for my peanut-sized brain to comprehend :sadface:

10. Ren:
-E key is forward
-F is right
-X is backward
-A is left
-R is inventory
-G is swap hotbar slot and off-hand
I know Ren has some pretty big hands, but I genuinely hate this idea so much (mainly because my hands are abysmally miniscule... ahem). I understand not wanting to squish your fingers together but skdhksnsks Idk I genuinely don't have many words for this one

11. Mumbo:
-Shifts with his thumb curled underneath his hand
-Uses one finger to control his movement/press WASD
I'm ranking him second to last because dear god Mumbo Jumbo that is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever bloody heard of. I know his hands are like ginormous, but that gives me arthritis just thinking about doing that for hours a day :sob: /hj

12. Etho:
-Keyboard above the mouse
-Uses his mouse sideways (looking up is left, looking right is up, looking left is down)
-Desk up to his armpits
-Elbows on the desk
-Mousepad under his left elbow instead of under the mouse
-Mic in a 5+ year old Kleenex box
-Chair with arm rests that don't go underneath the desk
-Far left monitor doesn't work
Right so I think this long list of things speaks for itself LMFAO Canadian men smh /j But seriously, I cannot imagine ever playing like that, it sounds ridiculously uncomfortable. I cannot even begin to comprehend any of this besides perhaps the Kleenex box being slightly convenient for a while, but even then I would still invest in a mic stand. The elbows on the desk also get me because how??? He's basically T-posing whilst recording videos with the way his desk is up to his armpits. And one of his monitors doesn't even bloody work either :sob:
