A free verse

Winds rustled, 'We are taking him,'
Lullaby they sang into my ears was,
'He is alive here if not there.'

He died along with them,
But I never knew.

The Sorrow of countless deaths
suffocate me,
My sweetheart lost his mama,
And the lover her beloved.
I am married to a handsome prince,
Yet I keep him in my heart.
I ain't betraying my groom,
My husband knows it better than me.

A few enter the heart to not ever leave,
He was one such.
My father his mentor, and me his bestie,
Still he left without a word.
I saw him five years ago, hence,
His departure left me wounded.

The stars above twinkle as if in merry joy,
I can just cry and cry and cry because,
He bid goodbye a day before,
Yet I got alert only today.

My son cries for his wife,
His son weeps for his mother,
My son cries for his daughter,
His son weeps for his sister.
Similarly,
His son would be crying for him, isn't it?
What a bloody reality!

I am tired,
Too exhausted to think, to write
and to live.
Tomorrow'll follow the
melancholy of today,
The day after'll follow the same as well.

When'll the pain cease?
When'll will the sufferings end?
I am torn, dear diary. I am worn out!

I need to breathe, I want to sleep.
