Ryan and Mia sat in the lounge of the hospital when Ryna spoke up. "Did you hear that there's a new patient." Mia looked at Ryan with an unassuming look. "Patients are brought in nearly every 4 hours". Ryan rolled his eyes and chucked a pillow towards her. "I mean someone like us" Ryan immediately sparked her attention. "Someone like us...you mean someone who has to stay here for a long time?"
Ryan nodded "Yeah. I heard that he's been in the hospital since he was a child. So I'm guessing his case is just as serious as ours". Mia kind of felt bad that this patient also had to live like her and Ryan. "Why are they bringing them here? Why can't they stay there?" Ryan shrugged "The nurses walked away before I get anymore information from them". Mia was about to say something before Ryan raised his finger to shush her. "Before you say it. I wasn't going to follow them that's rude and they were gonna send me back to my room."
Mia slumped back slightly and nodded.Luke and his mom walked into the the hospital. It's smelled different from the old one. It had a more floral smell and less chemicals. Luke looked around and its definitely more bigger. There was a lounge and chairs. It sort of looked like a house. His mom and him walked to the reception. Luke's mom spoke up "Hello. My son Luke Aguilera is here for a transfer" the receptionist looked up and smiled typing in his information. She nodded "Ah yes...Your room is ready. I'll get a nurse to take you there."
Luke and his mom nodded. Soon after a nurse came over. She smiled and extended her hand "Hello. I'm Cynthia. I'll be your personal nurse" Luke's mom shook her hand "Nice to meet you. I'm Lilly and this Luke". Cynthia smiled and shook Luke's hand. Cynthia led them throught the hallways and to his new room. Ryan pointed to Cynthia and another boy. Mia turned around to see where he was pointing. "I think that's him." Ryan said.
Mia turned back around to Ryan. "I mean no one is screaming code blue, or red, or green or any other color so maybe." Ryan smiled in a way that showed he was up to something "We should investigate". Mia raised her eyebrows "Investigate?" Ryan nodded vigorously "Yeah you know. Find out about him. Mia crossed her arms "Every heard about privacy. I mean if I found out that people who isn't nurse or doctor searching through my files and personal information,I'd be pissed."
Ryan rolled his eyes "Okay fine but we could atleast welcome him. It must be scary to be in a new hospital". He sighed and put his hands behind the couch. Mia nodded "You're right. Especially having to live like this all the time." Ryan and Mia got up and bumped into Cynthia.
Ryan and Mia smiled . Ryan was the first to speak "Hey Cynthia. Hows our favorite nurse doing?" He playfylly punched her arm. She crossed her arms. "What do you guys want?". "We just want to know more about the new kid. You know the one who wast transferred here." Mia nudged Ryan "What he means is that we want to make him feel welcomed." Mia smiled hiding their true intentions. Cynthia rolled her eyes knowing that they were lying. "Just don't do anything stupid, okay" Ryan scoffed and crossed his arms while smirking"When have you known us to do something stupid?" Mia nudged him once again covering his mouth with her hand "We won't. We promise". Cynthia nodded "I hope not. Now I've got to get back to work." Mia stepped infront of Cynthia before she could walk away. "What room is the new boy in?" Cynthia put both of her hands on either side Mia and moved her to the side.
"Room 609" Cynthia left them to do her duties.Ryan and Mia quickly rushed to the elevator. Ryan impatiently pressed the sixth button. Mia pushed his hand down "Dude chill you'll break the buttons." Ryan basically buzzed with excitement "Sorry. I'm just excited to meet him." Mia put her arm on his shoulder. "Don't get too excited. He might not want to be friends with us" Ryan pushed her arm off and fully faced her with his body "What do you mean? You think he'd rather be lonely than to have people his age to talk to? That's crazy"
Mia put her arm on his shoulder again. "Remember Abby. She didn't wanna be friends with us cause she thought she won't make it". Ryan remembers the time quite frankly. Abby was transferred to Saint Harlem when Ryan and Mia were about 9 years old. They tried making friends with her but she didn't want. Abby needed kidney transplant and within moths she got a donor. It was easier for her because kidneys were much easier to get than lungs.
