                                    THORNE
Thorne hadn't realised how much this prisoner was affecting him.
To him, nothing hurt more than seeing his father on that hospital bed, just clinging to life.
Or when he had lost him.
When his mother remarried to his stepfather, who Thorne absolutely despised, he was crushed. He didn't let himself out of his room for 3 weeks.
But walking into the dungeon and seeing Kaelen's empty cell and bashed door, that hurt just as much.
His first thoughts came raging like a charging bull.
*WHO DID THIS?! WHAT DISGUSTING, DESPICABLE MONSTER DARE TEST MY FEELINGS?!*
His anger roared like a lion. He stormed out of the dungeon, through the courtyard, and flew open the gates of the castle.
' 'Thorne?' ' his mothers voice was quiet behind him.
But no, her son was far behind whatever monster controlled him when he was mad.
' 'Was it you? Were you the one who commanded someone to take him, to kill him?!' ' he snapped.
His mother hesitated, the slight guilt on her face telling him everything he thought was correct.
' 'IT WAS YOU! YOU IGNORANT MONSTER!' '
Tears streaming down his face, his fury blinded him as he ran off into the forest.
His mother called out to him, but he didn't listen.
All he needed was a sign that he was here somewhere, and still alive.
He slowed slightly when he saw a lumberjacks old axe.
*perfect.*
He yanked it out of the tree with ease, and dashed off again.

                                    ~*~

Everyone in town could tell something was wrong when they caught a glimpse of Thorne and the fire of fury surrounding him.
He spun the axe in his hand as if it was a pair of nunchucks.
*please, please, please, let him be safe. Let him be alive.*
It was getting late fast, and still no sign of Kaelen anywhere.
He stopped in front of a local bar, and decided to calm himself down with a drink.
As he entered, all eyes turned to him, especially the women's.
*Something else to boost my ego.* he thought with a slight smirk.
But the pain in his heart was still very evident to him.
*just one drink. What could go wrong?*
