Third Person POV:
For the past week or so Wade and Logan have been busy at the bar making extra cash. Al had threatened to boot them due to hearing them in Logan's bedroom, so Logan suggested they try to get their own place instead besides Logan barely liked living with one person nevermind two. Currently they were looking at apartments on Wade's phone, Wade leaning against Logan and Logan's arm around him.
"What about this one? Two bedroom, two bath AND it has a kitchen island! Fancy~" Wade showed Logan.
"Mm maybe, do we need a two bedroom anyway?" Logan asked looking down at Wade as he thought about it.
"Well I didn't know if you wanted your own room or not" Wade shrugged.
"Bub....we've been sleeping in the same bed for the past week...plus it'll cost less on rent" Logan said matter-of-factly. Wade paused as he suddenly realized that they were currently cuddling in the same room in the same bed.
"Oh yeah...sorry it's the psychosis" Wade waved off. "You're right, sucks though I was hoping for a gaming room" Wade pouted as he kept looking.
"I have never seen you pick up a controller" Logan shook his head. "What was the last game you played anyway?"
"Umm...Galaga in the 80's I think"
"Old ass bastard" Logan teased with a smirk.
"Okay Mr. 200 years old" Wade rolled his eyes.
They both kept looking for what felt like hours since Wade cared about aesthetics more than anything and Logan having to remind him that they're basically poor.
"Oooh this one looks nice, and the rent is pretty cheap" He showed Logan, and to Wade's surprise Logan gave a silent nod of approval. "Then that settles it, we'll tour it tomorrow" Wade giggled with excitement as he scheduled the tour.
~TIME SKIP~
After a long exhausting move-in process, Logan and Wade finally got their own place. They were currently at mattress firm looking for a new mattress since they accidentally popped their air mattress during their 'first night fuck' as Wade called it. Logan was fast asleep on one of those memory foam mattresses while Wade chatted with the employee.
"I think we know what he chooses" Wade looked at his companion, who was snoring like an angry lion. "Let's talk price shall we?" Wade moved along with the store clerk while Logan slept.
Getting the bed to the house was the easy part, however getting Logan in was a different story. Once Wade strapped the mattress onto the top of Dopinder's cab, he dragged Logan's corpse into the car with the help of his skinny friend. Believe it or not Logan was awake by that point, he was just pretending because he didn't wanna move. As they managed to get Logan laid into the backseat, Wade got up front and they were off to their wonderful apartment....that was on the 5th floor.
Wade dragged Logan out the car and hopped him up onto his back, piggybacking him to the elevator while Dopinder struggled with the mattress. It took everything out of Logan not to burst into laughter from simply hearing the profanities and struggled groans from the two. Once Wade finally got Logan settled on the couch, he gave him a small kiss on the forehead before leaving to help Dopinder get the king sized mattress in the twin sized elevator. Logan smiled as he sat up, grabbing some water from the fridge.
Once Wade was finally back with the mattress, he sees Logan up in the kitchen grabbing a bunch of plates and such.
"Oh now you're awake, do you know how hard it is to carry a man made of metal?" Wade complained as he delivered the mattress to the bedroom not far from the door.
Logan laughed. "Sorry bub, would it make you feel better if I told you I had a dream bout ya?" Logan smirked when he seen Wade quickly look back at him before scurrying his way closer.
"Really?! What was it about!?" Wade hopped excitedly. I mean THE WOLVERINE just said he dreamed of him, how could anyone hear that and not get excited?
"How bout you set up that mattress and I'll show ya" Logan winked as he pulled out leftover takeout from the fridge, putting it on plates. Wade scurried to set up the mattress. Logan heated up the food in the meantime, setting up the small wooden table. Logan looked around the apartment with a smile, it's been a long time since he really got his shit together. After losing Kayla he's been on the run, then when the humans took all his friends and family away from him everything turned dark including him. He couldn't settle nowhere even if he tired, but now he gets to start over completely and not alone.
Wade snuffled his way back into the kitchen, now in his iconic unicorn pjs he joined Logan at the table, Logan waiting till Wade sat down before he started eating. Wade started rambling as he did best, what he rambled about Logan didn't much care nor understand he just enjoyed hearing him talk despite him saying otherwise. Wade could tell he was listening even when he acted like he wasn't, Logan would occasionally slip and remember the context of something he was supposedly not listening to and Wade was almost sure he wasn't aware of it, hell even if he was the fact that he was listening made Wade feel validated. Most people wouldn't even bother to listen to a word he says but Logan did and he valued that. Today however, Logan was showing his attention to Wade, typically he wouldn't actually look at him or acknowledge what he was saying but this time he looked at Wade right in the eyes and would respond to what he was saying with a nod or hum, you know the typical response of a listener.
"You know it's about time you get a phone Wolvie, felt like I was talking to an ancient roman when I showed you what a screenshot was" Wade teased, earning an eyeroll and a surprising chuckle from Logan.
"Never been a technology guy I suppose..." Logan shrugged. "But sure, whatever you want bub." Logan gave him a nod before shoving a fork of fried rice in his mouth.
"Oooo we can set you up an Instagram so you can be like those cringe old guys that everyone loves. Besides it would be easy to contact you in case we get separated."
"Separated? Why would we get separated?" Logan was slightly tense, why? He wasn't really sure.
"Well yeah..you know maybe one of us goes somewhere"
"Why can't we just go together?" Logan mumbled, avoiding Wade's eyes.
"Well..I didn't really expect you to wanna do everything together, but we can" Wade smiled at him. "I still want to get you a phone in case of emergencies, things happen in this mercenary business." Logan nodded, the tension loosening from his shoulders.
After they finished their food, they retreated to their room for a final 'fight' to end the night. While Wade slept Logan stayed up a little longer, taking everything in. He finally can breathe again, he finally has something to hold close without fear of them dying because of him. Logan went from bar hopping and living in vehicles to having a stable income and an apartment with someone who he cares about and dare he say, loved.
All his, all ours.
