After lunch ended, Seonghwa couldn't help but feel guilty. Ignoring Hongjoong wasn't something that Seonghwa would be exactly proud of, but he couldn't help it. There was something unsettling about him.

Seonghwa walked down the busy corridors of the building, trying to make it to his office without being trampled by the massive load of employees there.

When he arrived at his office, he was about to enter when he noticed something.

The door was creaked open, like someone had gotten in. Seonghwa hesitantly walked in. He was met by none other than Hongjoong standing at the corner of his office.

Seonghwa confusingly looked at Hongjoong, waiting for the explanation to why he was here. Hongjoong slowly looked Seonghwa up and down before he responded.

"I'm just here to monitor your work. I hope this doesn't affect the quality of your work, Mr. Park."

Seonghwa squinted his eyes, not fully convinced that Hongjoong was just here to do that.

"Ah yes- uhm I suppose I'd better get to work then?" Seonghwa awkwardly chuckled as he sat down infront of his desk, opening his laptop and clicking on file he needed to finish.

After a few minutes, Seonghwa started tensing up. Mainly because he could feel a intense stare on him. Seonghwa fake coughed and looked through his peripheral vision. Sure enough, he could see Hongjoong staring blankly directly at him.

Seonghwa thought it was just a normal stare but as the minutes progressed, Seonghwa couldn't tell if this 'work monitoring' thing was just an excuse to stare at him or not. Seonghwa started getting really uncomfortable as he could still feel a certain pair of eyes on him.

After what seemed like forever, Seonghwa could hear a pair of footsteps making their way out of his office and closing the door.

Seonghwa felt like he could breath normally again. He could feel his heartbeat slowly decreasing and reaching a normal rate.

After that very awkward and intense moment, Seonghwa definitely needed a coffee. He got up from his seat and took off his lanyard, setting it down on top of the piled up papers on his desk. Once he took it off, Seonghwa decided that he would go home early. He really needed the day off. Besides, his boss wouldn't mind if he took half a day off for personal issues.

The "personal issues" were basically Seonghwa not wanting to see Hongjoong's face. It's funny how he hasn't even known Hongjoong for even a day, yet he already didn't like him. It made no sense whatsoever but that didn't matter.

All Seonghwa wanted was to get out of the big building he called his 'workplace' and curl up in a blanket and watch a movie at his house. And that's exactly what he was gonna do.

After walking through many of the building's corridors, he hadn't failed to notice the many states he got from his peers. They were probably wondering where he was going since it was work hour. Probably cursing at him since they wanted to do the same thing but couldn't due to the fact that they knew Mr. Hyun favorited him.

Seonghwa smiled as he exited the building, taking in the bright sunlight of the afternoon. He happily skipped through the streets knowing that he would soon be in the warmth of his small cozy home.

Upon arriving at a shortcut , Seonghwa immediately recognized it. It was the alleyway in which that creep sexually assaulted him. He could feel his whole body shivering. He didn't want to remember what happened that night. Yet life always had a way of opposing him.

Seonghwa thought of just taking the long way for a split second, but he decided to go in the alleyway. It was daytime anyways, nothing would happen to him.

He stepped foot into the now fully-lit alleyway. It was funny since it was sunny and the lampposts were turned on. Yet on the night he decided to walk through it, the lights were suddenly malfunctioning. It's like it was planned.

Seonghwa non-approvingly walked more further into the alleyway, stopping midway when something caught his attention. A black cat laid on the wet dirty floor of on the side of a garbage bin. It looked as if it were dead, but it's rapid heartbeat rate said otherwise.

Seonghwa frowned upon seeing the state of the cat. Its fur was coated with dried blood and mud mixed together. It had been obviously beaten up. It had also obviously been through many stormy nights without a shelter over it's head.

"You poor thing." Seonghwa sadly whispered out as he swept his hand throughout the fur of the cat. He suddenly stopped petting the cat when he noticed something abnormal. He lifted the cat's chin sideways when he caught a glance at the black collar with a yellow bell. But the collar wasn't entirely the abnormal thing. The abnormal thing was how new it looked.

It wasn't coated with mud just like his whole body was, it looked like someone had barely bought it and put it on just some minutes ago. Maybe the owners dumped him out after putting the collar on. It didn't make sense but that didn't matter right now.

Seonghwa was extremely tempted to bring the cat home with him. He couldn't resist the temptation. Plus it didn't look like the owners thought of coming back for it anytime soon.

So Seonghwa picked up the kitten and happily arrived home, not forgetting to shower the kitten first before letting it peacefully sleep on Seonghwa's bed.

He brightly smiled at the cat and went to the kitchen to prepare a meal for himself but took out his phone from his pocket first to check if anyone had texted him. His eyes set on the 4 missing calls from his boss. Seonghwa decided it was best to not answer and just wait for the next day to tell his boss why he skipped work.

He had already made himself comefortable on the couch when he heard a loud knock on his door. Seonghwa whined at the fact that someone was disturbing his already bad day. He lazily picked himself up from the couch and forcefully opened the door, his eyes widening.

"H-Hongjoong?.."
