Dayler was sitting in the holding cell as he waited to be taken to Stark Academy. He was told his fate only twenty minutes ago. He was not happy. He didn't want to be trapped at Stark Academy. He knew Tony was extremely strict and he wanted freedom.

He was sitting on the concrete bench, leaning against the corner where the bench met the wall and the half wall that gave the toilet some privacy. He was wearing his black jeans, his black ghost hoodie, and his black socks since he had to take his shoes off. He wasn't happy, especially since the officers have all his stuff; his phone, his wallet, and his vape.

"Dayler," the teenager looked up and saw the officer standing at the door. "Time to go," he said. Dayler sighed as he stood up, his hands in his hoodie pockets. He walked in his sock clad feet to the door. The officer smiled down at the boy. Dayler walked to the counter and the officer grabbed the bag with his stuff and had him sign the papers saying all his stuff was returned to him.

"My vape is missing," Dayler said as he opened the bag after putting his shoes back on. "Yes, and it will be staying with me," Dayler heard behind him. He turned around and saw Tony standing at the door that led outside, having been waiting for the boy to be released. He was standing next to Steve.

Dayler glared at Tony, his jaw clenching. "Give me my vape," Dayler demanded. "Not gonna happen," Tony replied as he crossed his arms as well. "You didn't buy it, I did, you're stealing my property," Dayler growled. Tony let out a small laugh. "That doesn't matter, you're under my custody now, so if I want to take something that you don't need or lost privileges of, I can," Tony said.

Dayler looked back at the officer with his eyebrows furrowed and a look of confusion mixed with anger. "Tony has taken legal guardianship of you," the officer told Dayler. The boy looked at him in disbelief. "Why?" The boy asked exasperated. "You know why, Day," the officer sighed. He was always there when Dayler was arrested. He's been there since the boy started getting arrested. He was the one who was at the scene to save the boy from his parents. He saw the boy as a brother.

"That's bullshit!" The boy snapped and kicked the counter. "Hey!" Steve snapped, getting the boy to look at him. "Watch it!" The Avenger warned. "Oh, fuck off, Steven!" Dayler snapped back. "Dayler, last warning," Tony started as he glared at the boy. "I don't want to take my belt to you here and now, but I will," Tony warned. Dayler let out an angry sigh through his nose.

Steve and Tony watched the angry boy as he laid in head in his arms on the counter. "Johnny, please," the boy pleaded as he looked up at the officer. "I can't do anything, Dayler. He has custody of you and you heard the judge," Johnny told the boy. Dayler whined and threw his head back.

"Do I have to?" The boy asked sadly as he looked at Johnny. The man smiled sympathetically at the boy. "I'm sorry, Days," Johnny said and pet the boys hair. "You'll be okay," he added. The boy groaned and stood up. "I'm getting my vape back," the boy said quietly to Johnny, thinking Tony and Steve wouldn't hear him. "Not happening," Tony said.

Dayler groaned as he turned and looked at the man. "Leave me alone!" The boy growled at him. Tony ignored his attitude for the time being, knowing the boy was going to take a while to get used to the new life.

"Let's go, Dayler," Steve said as held his arm out for the boy. Dayler looked from them to Johnny before sighing, dropping his head, and tapping the counter before walking over to them as he threw his small bag of clothes over his shoulder. "Be good, Dayler," Johnny called to the boy. The boy gave a peace sign over his shoulder before walking outside, followed by Tony and Steve.

Tony and Steve led the boy to Tony's car, Happy in the driver seat waiting for them. Steve got in the passenger seat while Tony got in the back with Dayler. Once everyone was in the car, Happy started driving to Stark tower, where Stark Academy was also held.
