Earn got frozen on her feet as the door closed behind Dr. Fahlada. Her heart raced, and her thoughts spiraled out of control. The world seemed to narrow to that one moment, her mind racing with disbelief and confusion. Lada... she's here? Her thoughts spiraled out of control. In my world? And she's a doctor?

She clenched her knuckles white as the reality of the encounter sank in as she step out of the lounge. It felt surreal, like a fever dream she couldn't wake up from. Every detail replayed in her mind: the way Fahlada carried herself with poise, her soft yet commanding voice, those piercing eyes that had once gazed at her with love. Everything about her screamed familiarity, tugging at Earn's soul with a painful intensity. And her eyes—those eyes—piercing and intense, yet tinged with a warmth that had once been meant solely for her.

It's her. It has to be her.

But then doubt crept in like an unwelcome shadow. Does she remember me? The thought stung, sharp and cruel. What if she doesn't? What if she's someone else entirely—her reincarnation, perhaps?

The idea sent a shiver down her spine, making her stomach twist with unease. Earn pressed her fingers to her temples, trying to steady her spiraling thoughts. This is impossible, she told herself. This wasn't just some random resemblance. It was too much, too specific.

The woman she had loved more than life itself, the woman she had lost, was here—alive and impossibly close. The realization made her stomach twist with a mixture of joy and anguish. Her mind whirred with questions.

Her spiraling thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a familiar voice, cutting through the fog.

"Well, well, look who's completely zoned out," Suzie quipped, her tone light and teasing as she appeared in front of Earn.

Earn startled, her heart leaping to her throat. "P'Suzie," she muttered, her voice still shaky. "Don't sneak up on me like that."

Suzie crossed her arms, cocking an eyebrow at her co-star. "Sneak up on you? Babe, you were so lost in thought I could've danced a whole routine in front of you and you wouldn't have noticed."

Earn tried to respond, but Suzie wasn't finished. Her grin widened, mischievous and knowing. "Let me guess... You're thinking about the hot doctor, aren't you?"

Earn stiffened, her silence betraying her.

Suzie's eyes lit up, and she clapped her hands together, practically bouncing on her heels. "Oh my God, you are! I knew it!" she exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over. "I mean, how could you not? She's drop-dead gorgeous. The whole 'mysterious, hot doctor' vibe? Classic. Totally your type."

Earn shot her a withering glare, but it had no effect.

"Oh, come on," Suzie teased, her grin widening as she folded her arms. "Admit it. You're smitten. I can practically see the hearts in your eyes."

"Shut up, P'Suzie," Earn hissed, glancing around nervously. "Keep your voice down, will you?"

But Suzie was relentless. She leaned in closer, her grin practically splitting her face. "Oh, I see how it is. You're not denying it, though! Admit it—she's got you wrapped around her little finger already."

"God, you're impossible," Earn groaned, burying her face in her hands.

"Impossible but right," Suzie quipped, leaning back with a triumphant smirk. "And honestly, I don't blame you. If I were you, I'd be drooling over her too. She's literally the definition of perfection in a lab coat."

Suzie's laughter echoed around them, light and teasing, but Earn barely heard her. Her mind was still stuck in that room, replaying every second of her encounter with Fahlada.
