I sat at my desk, staring at the screen of her laptop. The hum of the motorhome felt almost too quiet compared to the buzzing anticipation of race day. The Formula 1 season opener was just hours away, and my nerves were starting to catch up with me. I had trained for months, refined every detail of my driving technique, and yet there was always that lingering question—what if it wasn’t enough? I quickly scrolled through my emails, hoping for a momentary distraction before I had to get ready. Most of them were routine: fan messages, logistics updates, and a few from my team with last-minute reminders. But one subject line caught her attention: Race Strategy Insights - Final Briefing. Opening the email, I was greeted by my team's strategist, Marc, who had sent over some last-minute insights on the track conditions and key points to focus on. I skimmed through it—no rain expected, but the temperature was set to rise significantly as the race went on, which meant tire management would be crucial.

Good news on the weather front - looks like the race is going to stay dry. You can take a look at the latest weather report for yourself. That's one less thing to throw a spanner in the works this weekend.

Considering the layout. It's fairly straightforward for the most part here, as you know. But there are a couple of impirtaint features it's worth reminding you about.

First of all, turn 10. Acute left-hander, you'll be trailbraking and downshifting all the way to the apex. If you start to lock up, ease off the brakes - you can't afford to loose too much here. Secondly, the final corner. It's a long start/finish straight so you really want to carry as much speed as possible. The track widens at the exit so you can probably take an early apex.
