Two years had passed since Kam and Gloxinia were last seen, their names fading into whispers and forgotten fears across Britannia. In the Demon Realm, Zeldris and Gelda remained restless, their hearts heavy with worry. Gelda often looked to the horizon, silently praying for her son's return, while Zeldris buried himself in work to distract himself from the gnawing guilt. The rest of the world, however, had moved on. The Seven Deadly Sins, their allies, and the kingdom of Liones had long since settled into a fragile peace, dismissing Kam and Gloxinia as ghosts of the past.
But in that hidden dimension where time bent and power surged, Kam and Gloxinia had been honing their strength relentlessly. Kam now towered with an aura of unshakable confidence, his muscles rippling with newfound power. His black and red armor seemed to radiate heat, the demonic energy within him threatening to spill over. His power level had skyrocketed to an astounding 155,000, a number that struck fear even into the hearts of demons. Gloxinia, always graceful in the air, was now a force to be reckoned with, his power level reaching a staggering 200,000. Together, they had transcended mortal limits, ready to rival the legendary Sins themselves.
Hovering above a vast, desolate plain, Gloxinia turned to Kam, his Spirit Spear floating beside him in its dormant form. "Well, Kam, it's been two years. Britannia awaits. Where do we go first?"
Kam smirked, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. "Hmm... which Sin should we kill first?" His voice dripped with malice, his golden eyes glinting like a predator's.
Gloxinia chuckled darkly, his wings fluttering lazily in the wind. "Gowther," he suggested. "He has the lowest power level among the Sins, but his mind abilities are a nuisance if we let him act."
Kam nodded, his smirk widening. "Good call. He's an easy target, but a symbolic one. It'll send a message."
Gloxinia closed his eyes for a moment, his connection to the natural world allowing him to track their prey. "While we've been away, I've been keeping tabs on the Sins. Gowther's been living in a village to the east, running a bookstore. Quaint, isn't it?"
Kam laughed, his voice echoing like a storm. "Perfect. Let's pay him a visit."
Without another word, the two of them took off, their immense speed leaving shockwaves in their wake. The sky seemed to darken as they approached the village, their combined presence casting an oppressive aura over the land. Hovering above the small settlement, Kam and Gloxinia surveyed their target. The village below was peaceful, its inhabitants blissfully unaware of the doom looming above.
Kam unsheathed his blade, its edge glowing with the malevolent flames of Hellblaze. "Shall we make an entrance?" he asked, his tone mocking.
Gloxinia smiled coldly, his Spirit Spear shifting into its first form, Basquias. The lance transformed into its circular configuration, humming with destructive energy. "Let's."
In unison, the two unleashed their devastating attacks. Kam swung his blade, releasing Hellscape, a massive wave of Hellblaze that scorched everything in its path. Gloxinia followed with Basquias: Form One, firing high-speed energy beams that exploded on impact. The combined assault obliterated the village in an instant, leaving a massive crater where homes once stood. Miles of land around the village were reduced to ash, the air thick with smoke and the acrid scent of destruction.
For a moment, silence reigned. But then, from the rubble, a figure emerged. Gowther stepped out, his body battered but intact, his cold, calculating eyes locking onto his attackers.
"You've made a grave mistake," Gowther said, raising his hand. "Invasion."
The psychic wave shot toward them, but Kam and Gloxinia dodged effortlessly, their movements a blur. Kam appeared behind Gowther in an instant, his speed unmatched. Grabbing the puppet by the back of his neck, Kam sneered. "You're not as fast as you think."
Gloxinia floated above them, his Spirit Spear transforming again. "Basquias: Form Nine-Death Thorn." A terrifying ivy erupted from the spear, its thorns dripping with lethal poison. The vines shot forward at incredible speed, piercing Gowther's chest and head with brutal precision. The puppet's body convulsed, the thorns tearing through him mercilessly.
Kam wasn't done. Flames erupted around him as he summoned Hellblaze, engulfing Gowther's body in unholy fire. The black flames consumed him entirely, leaving nothing but ash. Kam watched with a twisted grin as the wind scattered the remains. "One down," he said, his voice cold and satisfied.
Gloxinia descended to Kam's side, his expression calm but triumphant. "That was almost too easy. If this is the best Britannia has to offer, they won't stand a chance."
Kam sheathed his blade, his eyes scanning the horizon. "They won't even see us coming. Let's move."
The two vanished into the sky, their destructive aura lingering like a storm cloud over the land. Far away, the winds carried whispers of their return, the ash of their devastation a grim reminder of what was to come.
