The night had fallen quickly, and the RV's interior was bathed in soft, yellow light. The road stretched out endlessly, headlights cutting through the dark as Curly drove with a steady focus.

You were seated next to Daisuke in the back, your body swaying gently with the movement of the vehicle.
The night air outside was cool, and you could feel the slight chill creeping into the RV as you both settled into the quiet hum of the road.

You'd been talking off and on, sharing random thoughts or commenting on the music playing softly in the background.

At first, it was a lighthearted conversation—what you thought about the trip, how ridiculous the slushie disaster was earlier—but slowly, it started to fade as the steady rhythm of the road made your eyelids grow heavy.

"You think we'll make it there without killing each other?"
you muttered, still half-awake. Daisuke, leaning his head back against the seat, half-opened his eyes and gave you a playful look.

"Honestly?"
he yawned, stretching his arms out before resting them back at his sides. "I think if we don't, it's gonna be because of Jimmy's dumbass or Curly being a workaholic."

"But it's just a few days, right?"
His voice trailed off as the fatigue began to take over.

You chuckled softly, leaning back against the cushion.
"Yeah. Just a few days."

Neither of you said much after that, the silence only broken by the hum of the engine and the occasional rustling of someone else in the RV.
You closed your eyes for a second,
just to rest them, but before you knew it, your head was slowly tilting toward Daisuke's shoulder.

Daisuke, oblivious at first, had been fighting the same exhaustion.
His words faded as his mind slowed down, his body naturally leaning towards you.

Before long, you were both slouched against each other, your heads resting gently on the other's, both of you caught somewhere between sleep and waking.

The rhythmic sound of the engine, the warmth from the soft cushions, and the low murmur of the others in the RV made it impossible to stay awake.
Your body finally gave in, sinking into the comfort of the moment.

Daisuke's breathing grew slower and more even as he fell into a deep sleep, his head gently resting against yours.
Anya, sitting across from you both, couldn't help but notice the scene.

She had been reading her book quietly, glancing up occasionally.
But now, as she saw you and Daisuke both fast asleep, it was almost too cute to ignore.
The way you two had unconsciously fallen asleep together, so at ease, made her smile softly.

She quietly stood up, not wanting to wake you, and grabbed the extra blankets from the back of the RV.
Her steps were light as she approached you both.
With a tender smile, she draped the blanket over you two, making sure to cover you both comfortably, letting the warmth settle over you.

Anya paused for a moment, her eyes softening at the sight of Daisuke, who was snoring lightly now, his mouth open just a little.
She couldn't help but chuckle quietly to herself.

You both looked so peaceful, a far cry from the usually loud and animated version you were during the day.
Grabbing her phone, Anya snapped a quick picture of the moment, the soft glow of the screen illuminating her face for just a second.
