~Taylor's POV~
I've never been good at starting over, with new people or new activities. But I've gotten brave. I just moved from my home in Virginia to Deltona Florida. I am completely alone here, but I decided 6 months before my 18th birthday that I was going to move here the day I turned 18. That is exactly what I did. I left my family and friends, everyone I've ever known to be here. My mother, and baby brothers live twenty minutes from here with my grandfather. But it's not the same. I still feel all alone.
I have a small two bedroom apartment for me, my dog Hobo, and my cats Leo and Nikki. Today is my first day here. Meaning I have to move all the things in. I bought new furniture which was moved in for me, by my step dad. My step dad and my mom have other things to do, so I am moving all my boxes in by myself. Fun right? Haha. How about no.
I had gotten most of the boxes into the apartment, but once I got to the heavy boxes I was having a bit of trouble. I picked up the giant box labeled 'Dishes', as I was trying it to carry too the building, I could feel it start to slip from my arms. "Oh shit." I mumbled. But before it hit the ground someone grabbed it quickly from my grasp with a amused chuckle. I looked up to see the one and only Cody Carson. A smile broke out on my face. "Need some help?" He asked me with bright open smile. I nodded and showed him to my apartment.
We walked inside and he set it in the kitchen, then turned to me. "Hi, I'm Cody, I live in the apartment right next to you." He said while shaking my hand lightly. I smiled, "Nice to meet you, I'm Taylor." And as I said that Hobo came running into the room and jumped on Cody. "And that is Hobo." I said with a chuckle. Cody bent down and scratched him behind the ears. "Is he a basset hound?" He asked, looking up at me with a cute smile. I nodded, "Yup, he's my baby."
Cody played with Hobo for a bit then stood up, "Well come on, lets get the rest of these boxes inside." I looked up at him with a small smile, "No, it's fine. You don't have to." He shook his head, "Nope, I'm helping. Then you can come to my place and I'll make dinner." I looked at him confused, "Why?" He chuckled, "Because it's almost nine already and you don't have any food here. So you can eat at my place tonight and go shopping tomorrow." He said with a duh face. A huge smile broke out on my face and I hugged him tight, which he gladly returned.
It didn't take us long to finish bringing the boxes in. I took Hobo on a quick walk and then put him in my apartment. Cody dragged me across the hall and opened the door, letting me go in first. As soon as I walked in I heard voices laughing and talking.
"Aye Cody!" I heard someone yell. "You were supposed to be here two hours ago!" Cody chuckled and walked further into the apartment. The mystery people were hidden behind and wall. Cody walked over and chuckled, "Sorry, I was making a new friend." He looked up at me and waved me over, "Everyone meet Tay, She just moved into the apartment across from us." As soon as I passed the wall I could see the rest of Set It Off sitting and drinking beer. I waved shyly. They all smiled and winked at Cody, who rolled his eyes.
"Hi There." Dan said, "I'm Dan. That is Zach, Austin and Max." They all waved to me and smiled. "It's nice to meet you guys." I said with a smile. Suddenly my phone starting ringing, I picked it up quickly when I saw it was my best friend Britney. "Hey Brit." I sang. She chuckled, "Open the door bitch, I have ten boxes out here!" She yelled. All the guys were staring at me as my eyes went wide and my mouth dropped. "You're here?!" I screamed. "Yes dumbass, I'm living with you. Answer the fucking door."
The guys look confused as I ran out the door, I could hear them following behind me. I slammed the door open and pulled Brit into a hugged. She laughed at hugged me back, "Was I at the wrong apartment?" I shook my head, "No I was with them." I said pointing to the guys. Her eyes went wide then she looked back at me. I could tell she was about to scream but she calmed herself quickly. "Well that's nice. Help me with my shit." I chuckled and started grabbing boxes. The guys grabbed some too. Brit grabbed her guitars and We all went into the apartment, puting her boxes in the extra room.
Brit looked at me and smiled evilly. "And there is one more thing that I brought with me. It's something for you my dear friend." I gave her a weird look. "It's something you left behind, because you didn't have room..." She said with a smirk. My eyes went wide "Did you really?!" I screamed. She nodded. I ran to her car in tears. They all followed after me. "What did you bring?" Cody asked from behind me. "Her drum set." She said with a chuckle.
After I was done crying the guys helped me carry it in. After that we went to Cody's apartment. Britney was eye balling Max from the moment she saw him in the hall way, and he was doing the same to her. Cody and I were in the kitchen. "I thought we had food but apparently not. I'm sorry." He said, looking through the kitchen. I smiled, "We could always order pizza..." I say trailing off. He suddenly turned around with a huge smile, "Yes!!! That's a great idea!" I grinned as he pulled out his phone to order.
As he was talking to the Pizza delivery people on the phone I grabbed Britney and we went to our apartment for a bit. As soon as I closed the door Brit turned around with a glare, "You should have called me as soon as you met them!" She yelled. I chuckled, "Easy there tiger. I was going to call you." She nodded and hugged me. "Now lets go talk to our new friends!"
