The Quinjet was quiet, everyone had pretty much kept to themselfs after Wanda messed with their minds. Y/N was doing his best to comfort Nat but she wasnt saying much, although she was grateful that he was there for her.
Maria: The News is loving you guys, nobody else is. Theres been no official call for Banners arrest but it's in the air
Tony: The Stark relief foundation?
Maria: Already on the scene, hows the team?
Tony looked around the Quinjet to see the others, he and Y/N made eye contact and they each gave each other a sad look
Tony: Everyones... We took a hit, we'll shake it off
Maria: Well for now I'd stay in stealth mode, and stay away from here
Tony: So run and hide
Maria: Until we can find Ultron I don't have a lot else to offer
Tony sighed
Tony: Neither do we
He turned off the video call and made his way to the cockpit where Clint was flying
Tony: Hey you want to switch out?
Clint: No I'm good, if you want to get some kip we're still a few hours out
Tony: From where?
Clint: Safe house
A few hours later, the Quinjet landed outside of a small farm house in Iowa, the Avengers all walked off with Y/N helping Nat keep her balance.
Thor: What is this place?
Tony: Safe house?
Clint: Lets hope
Clint then opened the door and walked in with the other heroes
Clint: Honey I'm home
A pregnant woman with brown walked around the corner and smiled at the archer
Clint: Hi, company. Sorry didnt call ahead
Clint and the woman embraced and kissed
Tony: This is an agent of some kind
Y/N chuckled to himself
Clint: Gentleman, this is Laura
Laura: I know all your names
Steve gave a small smile to the couple while Tony gave an awkward wave, before the sound of running footsteps coming up took their attention
CLint: Oh incoming
Two kids came running in, Clint picked up the girl, Lila and hugged the boy, Cooper.
Clint: Hi sweetheart! Hey Buddy, how you guys doing?
The others giving confused looks
Tony: These are smaller agents
Clint put Lila down before she asked
Lila: Did you bring Auntie Nat and Uncle Y/N?
Nat and Y/N smiled before walking up to them
Nat: Why don't you hug them and find out!
Lila jumped into Nats arms as Cooper high fived Y/N before pulling him into a hug
Steve: Sorry for barging in on you
Tony: Yeah we would've called ahead but we were busy having no idea that you existed
Clint: Yeah well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. Kept it off SHIELD's I'd like to keep it that way, figured it's a good place to lay low
Y/N: We don't want to intrude
Laura: Y/N, you could never. You're always welcome
Y/N gave Laura a small smile and an appreciative nod
All of a sudden Thor began walking away towards the door, Steve and Y/N followed him
Steve: Thor?
Thor: I saw something in that dream, I need answers I wont find them here
Thor began spinning his hammer before taking off in the sky, Steve and Y/N looking up as he flew. Steve looked around the farm before turning to head back inside before stopping in his tracks, Y/N noticed and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder
Y/N: You alright Cap?
Steve: Yeah just still a little rattled, I'll be fine
Steve then turned to walk down steps before walking away, Y/N saw him walk off and sighed before he went back into the house
Later
Natasha sat on a bed in one of the guest rooms in a bathrobe, thinking about what Wanda had shown her, not too long until Y/N walked out of the bathroom
Y/N: Sorry I didn't realize you were waiting
Nat: I would've joined you but it didn't seem like the right time
Y/N: I think I used up all the hot water
Nat: I should've joined you
Y/N chuckles before going over to the bed and sitting next to her
Y/N: Babe what happened? What did Wanda show you?
Nat: Old memories, my time in the Red Room
Y/N: Where you were trained?
Nat: I was built to be the perfect assassin, no ties, no conscience. No weakness
Y/N: But that's not who you are, I've seen who you are and that is the woman I fell in love with
Nat looked up at Y/N, tears beginning to form in her eyes
Nat: You know that's the first time you told me that you love me
Y/N gave her a soft smile before putting a hand on her cheek
Y/N: I know I should've done it sooner but it seems like you needed that right now
Nat smiled back before she looked down and the bed
Nat: I just don't know if I can be who you need me to be
Y/N raised an eyebrow
Y/N: What do you mean?
Nat took a deep breath before she went on to explain
Nat: In the Red Room, they have a graduation ceremony, they sterelize you. It's efficent, one less thing to worry about
Y/N looked at her with sadness in his eyes, he quickly pulled Nat into a hug as she cried on his shoulder.
Nat: I just don't know if it's possible
Y/N: Don't know if what's possible?
Nat: For you to love me and be you
Y/N pulled away before cupping her face with his hands
Y/N: Listen to me Nat, I want you to really listen. There is nothing on Earth that can make me change the way I feel about you. Who you were then and who you are now are different, and I love you the way that you are. Flaws and all, no one is perfect but that's what makes us all special. No matter what, I'll always be there for you
Nat wiped some of the tears away from her eyes before chuckling
Nat: You really do have a way with words
Y/N smiled before Natasha slammed her lips against his, after a moment she pulled away
Nat: I love you too
Y/N kissed her forehead before the two of them laid back on the bed, wrapped in each others arms
