The inexperienced Jiang Fan was completely unable to handle the situation, and in the end, blood began to flow from his nose.

As Qiao Yifei was feeling smug, she looked up and saw the blood pouring from Jiang Fan's nose. In a panic, she quickly pulled out a tissue to try and stop the bleeding. However, the heat raging inside him was too strong, and the bleeding simply wouldn't stop.

In the end, Qiao Yifei hurriedly escorted Jiang Fan to the school's infirmary, where the doctor treated him, and only then did the bleeding finally subside.

Qiao Yifei was understandably frightened, deeply concerned that Jiang Fan might lose too much blood. Her academic credits and the special contribution award depended on him, and if something happened to him, her plans would be in jeopardy.

"Doctor, what's wrong with him?" she asked anxiously.

The doctor glanced at her and replied, "He's just a young man with too much heat in his body. You'd best make sure he dresses warmly."

Qiao Yifei took a quick glance at her own seductive figure and immediately understood what the doctor meant. A wave of embarrassment washed over her.

"Well... is he going to be alright now, doctor?" she asked, concerned, as Jiang Fan's well-being was crucial for her academic success.

The doctor casually answered, "Just drink plenty of water, and stay in an air-conditioned room to keep the nasal blood vessels from expanding."

"Thank you, doctor," Jiang Fan said, nodding gratefully.

As they were about to leave, the doctor gave Jiang Fan's shoulder a meaningful pat and thought to himself, Kid, I can only help you up to this point. The rest is up to you. Heh heh...

Qiao Yifei and Jiang Fan left the infirmary, and upon checking the time, realized it was almost noon. She turned to Jiang Fan and said, "Jiang Fan, how about I take you to lunch?"

"Sure," he replied.

They headed to the cafeteria at Huaqing University for lunch. During the meal, Qiao Yifei began to think. She realized she could no longer rely on her figure to seduce Jiang Fan; she was genuinely afraid that if he lost too much blood and fainted, her efforts would all go to waste.

Instead, she decided to take him to the university's coffee and bookstore later. It was a place where one could read and chat, and she could present her intellectual side there.

Not only was Qiao Yifei the campus beauty of Huaqing University, but she was also an undeniable academic prodigy. Her grades were always at the top of her class, and she had even participated in numerous research projects alongside her uncle, Qiao Shan. She knew that if she casually mentioned these accomplishments, Jiang Fan would surely be in awe of her intelligence.

With that thought in mind, she turned to Jiang Fan and said, "Jiang Fan, we have a coffee and bookstore here at Huaqing. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, and whenever I have some free time, I like to grab a coffee and read there. It's incredibly relaxing. I'll take you there later to have a look."

When Jiang Fan heard this, his interest was piqued. A coffee bookstore? That sounded like a perfect idea.

This way, he wouldn't have to speak much with Qiao Yifei—he only had to endure these eight hours, and the task set by the system would be complete. Looking at the time, he saw there were still five hours left.

If he could read for the next five hours, it would be perfect.

After finishing their meal, they made their way to the coffee bookstore that Qiao Yifei had mentioned.

Qiao Yifei showed her membership and led Jiang Fan to a cozy corner. The café's décor was designed to encourage reading and conversation, with plenty of books available for borrowing.

Jiang Fan looked around the environment and immediately felt at ease.

As Qiao Yifei began to talk about the research projects she was involved in, Jiang Fan stood up. He walked over to the bookshelf, looking for a book that caught his interest. He eventually picked up History of Blue Star Technology.

As someone who had come from a parallel world, Jiang Fan wasn't entirely familiar with Blue Star's current level of technology, so this book was the perfect opportunity to learn more.

Qiao Yifei, noticing Jiang Fan had chosen such a book, was slightly surprised. "Jiang Fan, do you like books on technology?"

"Yes," Jiang Fan nodded.

Qiao Yifei smiled inwardly, pleased. After all, her field of study was materials science, and she knew a great deal about the materials used in many technological fields.

"Do you have a particular interest in any kind of technology?" she asked.

"I used to be interested in nanotechnology, but recently, I've become more interested in space technology," Jiang Fan replied.

In his past life, Jiang Fan had primarily worked in the field of nanotechnology. But now, having crossed over to Blue Star and being guided by the system in his mind, he had developed a growing curiosity about the technology of civilizations beyond humanity.

He believed that human technology was severely limited by current technical barriers, and in his lifetime, it would be impossible to research truly advanced technology, like controlled nuclear fusion. Had it not been for the system, even if he spent his entire life, he wouldn't have been able to develop such technology.

And as for spacecraft, time travel machines, space elevators, and other space technologies—he had no doubt that high-level civilizations existed beyond Earth, and his system was a strong indication of this.

Jiang Fan was convinced that the system was a medium created by these advanced civilizations, meant to impart advanced technologies to humanity and accelerate its scientific development.

Thus, in order to explore extraterrestrial civilizations, his best course of action would be to focus on space technology and find the answers—or perhaps lead humanity to a better future.

Of course, Qiao Yifei didn't know any of this. She simply thought that Jiang Fan's interest in space technology was nothing more than a superficial curiosity about the cosmos.

"Space technology is quite vast, and there are very few researchers in this field. You need to work hard! Who knows, maybe the future of interstellar travel will be in your hands!" she joked.

Jiang Fan, however, appeared serious. After a brief moment of contemplation, he nodded in agreement.

Seeing his innocent and almost endearing expression, Qiao Yifei couldn't help but laugh.

"You said you used to like nanotechnology. Well, right now, I'm working on a nanomeasurement technology that uses atomic force microscopy..."

Qiao Yifei eagerly began describing the project she was involved in, fully confident that Jiang Fan would be impressed by her knowledge.

As she finished explaining, she couldn't resist boasting a little.

"Jiang Fan, isn't it incredibly impressive?"

However, Jiang Fan merely replied, "The nanomeasurement technology you mentioned is rather outdated. It has a lot of limitations."

"Outdated?"

Qiao Yifei was taken aback and a little offended. This technology was a project her uncle, Qiao Shan, was leading—he was one of the top scientific minds in the country and had even received the lifetime achievement award. To have his work dismissed as outdated by Jiang Fan was quite a blow.

This is unbearable!

Seeing her reaction, Jiang Fan quickly clarified.

"There's a more advanced version of nanomeasurement technology—optical interference measurement technology. It uses interference fringes of light to increase the resolution of measurements..."

He continued, listing various methods such as dual-frequency laser interferometry, optical heterodyne interferometry, X-ray interferometry, and F-P standard tool measurement.

Qiao Yifei was left speechless, her mouth hanging open in shock at what she had just heard.
