Easy way out

Toby's POV.
I was eating diner at my house besides lyra and my father
"Toby you and your dad should go out to the park today its really early" said my mom with a smile
"Uh no thanks mom.... Im not in the mood to go out today" i said
There was a little moment of silence until my father broke it
"Yeah he dosent know how to do anything besides being home all day" said dad
I got mad but i know i couldnt say anything back to him so i just kept my anger inside of me like it dint bother me
"C'mon toby we should go out today it will be fun" said lyra
I smiled at her and then nodded
"Alrigth then we will go at 6 to the roosevelt park"
I nodded once again
When i finished eating i went upstairs to my room and changed into some normal clothes other than the ones i sleep in
I put on a black turtle neck shirt and some blue skinny jeans im just going to the park.
Ive actually used to go to that park alot not too long ago.
One day when i barely turned 16 i saw some guys doing a movie or something there.
They had cameras amd scripts and stuff like that and a girl told me they were doing a movie called 'marble hornets'
Eventually i had to leave because i wouldnt like to intrupt them.
Thats all i could remember
I was actually happy that my sister was taking me to the park of course i dint want to go with my father since i think hes annoying and i bet he thinks im annoying too but honestly i dont care.
There was this one time he actually slapped me and i fell to the ground and lyra caugth me then she told him to never put a hand on me as long as she was alive and since that day forward he hasent hit me.
I really gotta thank lyra for everything she has done to me, shes helped me alot through out the years i cant thank her enough.
There was still like 1 hour left for it to be six so i decided to just take a nap and rest for a while
Brian's POV.
Hmmm he went to sleep i wonder what hes plans are i couldnt hear well with a the noise coming from outside but i know he has plans for later also i was glad i dint wear my mask or my hoodie because that could of brought attention to me
It would be a good idea if tim helped me out but he always refuses to help me with this.
Maybe if i try once more i can convince him on him helping me
I made my way over to tims house and knocked on the door.
I waited and waited and waited until he finally opem the door
Once the door was open i tackeled him down on the floor and closed the door so the people wont suspect a thing
"BRIAN GET OFF ME!!!" Yelled tim
"Alright but you gotta listen to me" i said still standing on top of him
"Grr fine what is it?! What do you want?!"
"Look ive been spy-" i got cut off
"Spying on the kid from the house infront of mine i know"
"Well then... I was wondering if you could help me you know spy on him to see what the operator wants with him or if he could join us to stop him"
There was a moment of silence while tim was still thinking, i was hoping he would help me because this was the first time he actually listen to me.
"Fine i'll help you but only for my sake and that innocent boy, dont think in doing this for you"
"Ouch tim" i said sarcastically "where is my old friend the one that would always have my back?"
"Shut up" he mumered
