"And there was something 'bout you that now I can't remember
It's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender"26 November 2020
Bee was usually a mix of personalities. Some days, she would be reserved and quiet, blending into the background. But on other days, she would burst with energy and become the life of the party. One such lively day, Bee decided to play a trick on everyone. She pretended to be someone else by taking a magical potion that transformed her into a delicate rose. Excited by the idea, she told her friend Bella to gather everyone so she could prank them one by one.
That's when Bee first met Clover-her "Blue," as she would later fondly call her. Clover immediately matched Bee's playful energy. They laughed and played along with Bee's charade, and Bee was thrilled to have found someone so vibrant. However, the potion's effects didn't last forever. Soon, the magic faded, and the special sparkles needed to brew the potion wouldn't grow back for another month. Bee felt a pang of sadness when the fun had to come to an end. She had truly enjoyed her time pretending to be a rose and especially interacting with Clover.
Disheartened, Bee decided to retreat and rest, thinking her time with Clover had ended. But to her surprise, Bella called her back to the group later that evening. Bella revealed that Clover had asked about the "rose," wondering where she had gone. When Bella explained that the rose was actually Bee in disguise, Clover seemed eager to talk to her again.
Bee was startled. "How does she even remember me?" she wondered, feeling a strange mixture of happiness and nervousness. The next day, 27 November, Bee discovered it was Clover's birthday. She desperately wanted to do something special for her new friend-perhaps even write her a heartfelt birthday paragraph. But Bee was cursed with overthinking. "We've only just met," she thought. "Would it even matter to her?" In the end, Bee simply wished Clover a happy birthday, feeling like it wasn't enough but not knowing what else to do.
As time passed, Bee continued joining the group chats where Bella, Dahlia, Poppy, and Clover's little sister Daisy would gather. Slowly, she became friends not just with Clover, but also with Daisy, who was sweet and welcoming. Bee cherished their conversations but never assumed she was particularly important to Clover. To her, she was just another voice in the group.
That changed about a week later. One evening, Clover called Bee aside to talk one-on-one for the first time. Bee was both nervous and curious. To her surprise, Clover told her she thought Bee was adorable and handed her a matching paw necklace-a token of friendship. Bee was shocked by the gesture, but her heart swelled with happiness.
That day, something shifted between them. It marked the beginning of their friendship-a bond that started with playful pranks and blossomed into something Bee never expected.
