November was coming to a close, but not before a final send off with Ilvermorny's Thanksgiving feast. The entire castle was brimming with excitement for the day, along with the accompanying few days off. Unfortunately, there was still a little over a week before every staff and student could stuff themselves with turkey and gravy.

For the girls, that meant trying to balance school work and putting together information they already had. Once they received the letter they started to make a timeline of each attack, the year, and if there were any injuries. So far they had Harrison in 1959, Ramona in 1963, and Dessie in 1967. They were waiting for Charlie Dandoy's letter to confirm if it was a creature attack, or something else, before adding him to the list. The only major injury, thus far, has been Dessie's whose wand arm was scarred and still affected her.

Deciding to take a break from their work, Robin and Lorelei decided to take a walk around the castle to stretch their legs and get some blood flowing into their minds. They chatted about music and what they hoped to see on the plates come Thanksgiving. While discussing gravy or butter on mashed potatoes, they turned a corner and ran smack dab into a very familiar Pukwudgie.

"Hey, funny running into you two here," exclaimed Orville. Lorelei thought he didn't have a single hair out of place, could there be such a charm?

"Haha, yeah, literally!"

He wasn't alone, standing beside Orville was another boy, about a head shorter than his friend. Grant Rook, a Sixth year Wampus, had shaggy hair, dark eyes, and a face splattered with freckles. Many of the female students, the ones that didn't ogle Orville that is, found Grant's full lips very attractive in their resting pout.

"Hey Robin," he excitedly greeted, "oh and Lorelei," he added, after a nudge to the shoulder from Orville.

"What brings you guys to this part of the castle?" Asked the latter.

"Nothing much, just taking a stroll to stretch our legs," replied Robin, oozing in nonchalance. "What about you guys?"

The boys looked at each other, then reached their hands into their pockets. They pulled out handfuls of various nuts, some of which spilled onto the stone floor.

Now it was the girls' turn to stare at each other, before looking at the boys in confusion.

"Why," Questioned Lorelei, "are your pockets filled with nuts?"

"Well," began Orville, placing the nuts back into his pockets, "it's kind of a long story but, we were hoping to—"

"We're gonna make a squirrel army!" Blurted out Grant, never a fan of discreteness. The four students fell into silence, each for their own reasons; Robin was thinking how they're gonna need more nuts, Lorelei was questioning the sanity of the boys, Orville was extremely embarrassed, and Grant was hoping they might wanna help. After a very long, and painfully quiet, few moments the silence was broken.

"You what?" Asked Lorelei, greatly hoping she had misheard. "You're gonna make an army of... squirrels?" The boys nodded their assent, one far more thrilled by the idea than the other.

After another moment of silence Robin questioned in all seriousness, "How exactly are you gonna do that?"

"The plan was we—"

"We train them to throw stones at people we don't like or they can protect us from evil Wizards and whatnot." Grant explained, only making poor Orville's face redder by the second. "That's what the nuts are for."

It really didn't take a genius to realize these boys' endeavor was not going to work out for them, but at least they might feed some of the local wildlife. That will account for something.
