Demion shot Lysander a sidelong glance, silently warning him not to pry further. "Yes, that's exactly it," he responded, his voice steady yet with a hint of defensiveness. "There's nothing else to it." Lysander shrugged lightly, an amused smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"If you say so," he replied, though his tone suggested he didn't fully buy their explanation. "I suppose I just find it interesting that two beings as distinct as yourselves just happened to randomly seek shelter together."
"We're friends, nothing more..." Sunset pouted. Lysander chuckled softly. "Ah, just friends," he said, his tone dripping with skepticism. "That's an interesting choice of words. So, no secret desires, no underlying tension? Just friends, purely platonic?"
"Yep, right Dems?" Sunset questioned. Demion shifted under Lysanders scrutinizing gaze, his face betraying a hint of discomfort. His eyes flickered to Sunset for a moment before nodding.
"Yep, just friends," he replied, his voice a bit too casual. "Can we move away from this topic now? It's getting boring." Sunset shifted as she muttered. Lysander held up his hands in a mock surrender. "As you wish," he said, the smirk still playing on the corners of his mouth. "No need to get defensive. I merely find your dynamic... intriguing, that's all." Demion rolled his eyes, clearly exasperated by Lysanders relentless curiosity.
"Maybe you should spend less time observing and more time worrying about your own life," he retorted, the familiar banter between them re-emergence. Lysander chuckled, not at all affected by Demions retort.
"Oh, my life is perfectly delightful, thank you very much," he replied, his tone light. "But observing and annoying you is one of my favorite pastimes, can you blame me?"
As if on cue, a sudden noise echoed outside the building, the sound of a trashcan clattering and a loud meow. The three demons paused, turning their attention towards the source of the disturbance. Sunset looked out the window spotting the cat, "Just a cat.."
Lysander arched an eyebrow as he rose from the couch. "Just a cat, huh? Seems like our feline friend has decided to make an entrance," he said as he sauntered over to the window.
"Your so dramatic, brother.." Demion scoffed.
