Secret Weapon

Chapter 1

Five years ago (2010)...

10 year-old Camille was sitting in her boring language arts class at Pikington Elementary learning about semi-colons or something like that. She was having a lot of trouble focusing on any of her work. The only thoughts she was having were about the S.W.G.

The S.W.G, or the Secret Weapon Group, was a summer school for kids with special powers. A few weeks ago, she had applied for the S.W.G. She had always had this weird feeling in her heart that told her that there was definitely something special about her. Today was the day she would get an acceptance letter if she got in.

3 hours later...

"Hey, Cami! You wanna stop at the comic book store after school?" her best friend Neil asked.

"No, not today. I need to check my mailbox! Sorry!" And without any explanation, she ran off to the bus.

When Cami got home, she got off the bus and ran to her mailbox. She eagerly opened it and saw nothing inside. Then she sadly walked inside, laid her backpack down, and sat at her dining room table. "What's wrong, sweetie?" her kind mother asked

"Well, did you get the mail today?"

"Oh! Yes I did!" was the reply. "I put it on the fireplace." Suddenly, Cami was happy again. But that soon changed once she realized that the only stuff in the mail was bills and junk mail.

"Mom, did anything from the S.W.G. come today?" Cami inquired.

"Um no I don't think so." And with that, Camille walked to her room and cried.

A few hours later, Cami was over the fact that she didn't get accepted. Until the doorbell rang and she answered the door. "Delivery for Camille Naomi," the delivery man said.

"That would be me. What's this?"

"Well wouldn't you like to know." The delivery man winked and walked away.

Cami took a knife and opened the box and inside she found...
