Alan's POV

It was an early Saturday morning. I rose from bed with caution, mindful not to disturb your slumber. I noticed your slight movement, your body instinctively searching for my presence, but you remained peacefully asleep. With a sigh of relief, I proceeded to the kitchen, diary in hand. I placed the diary on the table and began preparing the kettle for a warm cup of tea. After some time had passed, I became aware of the kettle making a noise, which brought me back to the present moment. I had been experiencing a decline in my health over the past few weeks and had scheduled a medical consultation this afternoon, which you will be attending with me. I prepared a cup of my preferred tea by pouring water into a mug containing the tea bag. I then proceeded to the table, where I sat down and cautiously took a sip of the hot tea.
I commenced my journal entry by,
'05/2005 I have woken up early and am currently enjoying a cup of tea. My lovely wife, Y/N, is still asleep. I must admit, I am slightly apprehensive about my upcoming doctor's appointment but remain hopeful that we can determine the cause of my discomfort.'
Your POV
I awoke and sat up in bed, stretching and glancing around the room for Alan. I recalled that he often engages in writing his personal journal entries during the morning hours. As I exited the bedroom and made my way to the kitchen, I donned my robe and slippers while letting out another yawn. The delightful aroma of tea greeted my senses, eliciting a smile upon my face. As I proceeded towards the kitchen, I observed Alan diligently engage in writing. In order to avoid disrupting his concentration, I patiently awaited an opportune moment to engage in conversation. When our eyes finally met, I greeted him with a warm smile. He responded with a cordial, "Good morning, my dear. I trust you had a restful night?" I nodded in agreement and said, "I did thank you, my lovely Alan. How are you feeling this morning?" I approached him and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, which made him smile. He responded, "I still don't feel well, my darling, but hopefully this visit to the doctor will shed some light on what's going on." I experienced the sensation of his arms encircling me as he bestowed upon me a tender kiss. Our lips engaged in a gentle and graceful dance, and I perceived him gradually intensifying the kiss. I could taste the tea that he had drunk as we kissed passionately. Gently, he pulls away and embraces me. I embraced him in a comforting manner, inhaling his familiar scent. The cologne he had worn the previous day still lingered on his skin as I softly reassured him, "Everything will be alright, my dear Alan."
As time elapsed, it was the moment for Alan's scheduled appointment. We patiently waited in the doctor's office, anticipating his arrival. Alan and I held hands, and I couldn't help but smile whenever he affectionately kissed my hand, expressing his unwavering love with the words, "I love you no matter what, my dear." We heard a knock on the door as the doctor knocked before entering the room.
Alan's POV:
As the doctor entered the room, I observed him take his seat at his desk, carrying my medical files. He then addressed me, "Mr. Rickman, how are you feeling today?"
"I have been feeling unwell and weak lately, doctor. Could you please help me understand the cause of my condition?" I observed the doctor's expression closely, sensing that he might have some concerning news to share, "We have figured out what's happening, Mr. Rickman.. I am sorry, but you have an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Mr. Rickman.. we can offer treatments, which would be to remove your prostate completely through surgery. However, even with surgery, you may require additional treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation. I will need to refer you to oncology and a surgeon to schedule your surgery." I respectfully looked at the doctor, attempting to comprehend the information he was conveying to me. I gently held Y/N's hand as I uttered, "Cancer? I have prostate cancer?.." The physician nodded, expressing his regret once more as he sensed Y/N's gaze upon him as she said, "Could you please advise when Alan should commence his treatment? Should we begin promptly, or does he require a consultation with the oncology specialist?" The doctor nodded, saying, "Mrs. Rickman, it would be advisable for him to consult with the oncology department first."
I remained silent as if time had come to a standstill around me. My heart raced in my chest, and I was still in a state of shock. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I did not even notice the doctor leaving the office. It was only when I heard Y/N's voice calling out to me, "Darling? Alan?" that I snapped back to reality.
I looked at Y/N saying, "I'm sorry darling, I am just in shock.. i have so many different projects.. I have Harry Potter to film and they expect me to come back.. I also think that I only want close friends to know about my cancer, I can't have everyone knowing.."
