There are a lot of things you can never go back from, it's not like there was anything that is still there to go back to. Half-meant apologies. Broken promises. Your childhood home. Loved ones who have passed away. Exes.

Exes?

Surely no. There is nothing left for you to go back. No matter how much time you spend to pick up the pieces and try to glue them back together. Its edges have become dull for them to fit. It's futile.

But alike all things, it wouldn't hurt if you try. Going back to something that was once your everything turned nothing, it's too... Sudden. Your life has become completely different from the routine you once practiced everyday with them. It's a major change from the life you once knew—from the life you once shared with them.

I met this guy in my mom's old town, the one she lived in when she was a teen. God, he had these eyes. And his salt hair. I'm a sucker for it.

Even if there was nothing left for me to go back to, I'd still go back to him.
